The Boathouse is a superb venue with excellent food choices. I love the meditiranian and Indian menu Love taking visitors there. Food and service always top class.

Venue was nice ..but the catering service for a wedding bad terrible salad and dholl was spoilt and the breyani was aaagice cold and even tasteless..even if considering a booking BEWARE which catering service..

Beautiful boutique hotel with stunning ocean views. I have used their conference facilities as a guest speaker for many academic functions, and have almost been met with professional service. The beautiful and spacious setting has also hosted our baby shower; and again; I was extremely impressed with the assistance from the staff, as well as the perfect venue. Whether it's a formal, academic or social event; or if you want to experience the excellent restaurant, I highly recommend to all.

This hotel is without any doubt the very best hotel/guesthouse in the area. I would at any given time book the boat house before choosing the likes of holiday inn or other international hotel chains. The location is perfect everything is in walking distance the staff are super friendly and helpful the quality of rooms are great. I have been a refining customer for almost 2 years and Every time I arrive it feels like coming to my second home. I think the nest way to put my message over is.
Even if they tried any harder it would not be possible to improve on perfection it is top class service without you as a customer ever feel they put on an act to try and please you they just do what it takes to run a really nice hotel. I can only praise this hotel they are top of the range in every single way possible.
I hardly ever recommend anything to friends and family but this place is a must visit if you ever go to Ballito it just doesn't get any better.

It was my daughter's wedding at the Boathouse during August 2016. We were assured of the best service as we are from Gauteng and had to rely on management and staff. What a disappointment!! Boathouse employ incompetent suppliers. The lady that handled the "décor" side was totally incompetent. The wedding not only started an hour late due to the fact that she was not prepared. The beach set-up was not done. The flowers were a joke, really did the opposite of what I asked for.. and the list goes on . During the ceremony management spoke to me personally and told me that they were so "sorry about Lisa (the décor-lady) stuffing up the wedding" as she witnessed it all. In the mean time they only tried to keep my calm during the ceremony "not to upset their other clients visiting the Boathouse at that stage".. All kind words but afterwards could not stick to their promises. They deducted monies from the deposit for broken glasses (which did not happen). In fact, one of their waiters slipped and broke the glasses. It was supposed to be my daughter's dream day which turned out to be a disaster.

Spent 3 nights in September & what a pleasure. Staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfy. Served a wonderful breakfast and the curry we had was superb
