Lush tropical estate with beautiful views from elevated properties, although most sections & complexes are too congestly built up obscuring views & homes look directly into each other's living areas as well as bedrooms so offers no privacy.

Good public pool access area in Zimbali at valley of the pools. Good service from the restaurant with excellent value for money options on the menu.

A spectacular setting on the north coast of KwaZulu-Natal. We really enjoyed our short stay. Pools are amazing so is the surrounding nature.

Zimbali is the ultimate paradise. It has tropical birds, adorable troops of monkeys, buck, Fish Eagles which fly over the beach as you catch a tan and lush greenery. To top it off, you're right by the sea and a 5-star golf course. Poolside cafés and pristine blue swimming pools looking out to sea ensures your holiday is as refreshing as this beautiful resort. It's arguably one of the safest places to be too, with strict speed restrictions and entry requirements — you're only allowed into the resort if you are a guest, home owner or visiting the amenities for the day.

The resort is luxurious. If you just want to sit around or occasionally play some sports it's great but you won't get to see much of Africa. If you're only visiting and you're from another continent make sure to spend some time somewhat else because this feels really artificial. It's like living in a police state.

Stepford wives eat your heart out. I like the controlled gated community. But there Is too much of the same same but different housing that takes away from the natural beauty that is Zimbali. Great place for families. And golfers.

Beautiful to live in, but not very nice for quick holiday stays. Ocean breeze in the morning is a major positive. Houses are huge with multiple bathrooms and facilities. Not much to do inside the Resort besides spa, golf and nature trails, more for the rest and relaxation. Very strict rules with 25km speed limit. Beware there's load of wildlife (there are all over the place hence the speed limit) and apparently snakes (though we never saw any)

Lovely place for a holiday. You never have to leave the resort. There is plenty to do from spa, golf and nature trails. The resort is quite close to Ballito which offer the convenience of all the major stores and restaurants.
