Best experience I ever had in Cape Town when I visited this place. This is a major sight seeing if your in this city. It’s very crowded and always. Buying ticket online is always best option to beat the queue. Very friendly and charming staffs. Best view of cape town city, lions head, signal hill. Highly recommend to visit this place.
At the top there are 3 plateau walks. Dessie is my favorite it’s offer best views of north, West & south.
Agma plateau will give you 360 views of Cape Town and cape peninsula. Skies are very close to your eyes so amazing.response / report this review -

Lower station of the cable car that brings you to Table Mountain, the queues are so long, we had to wait an hour to get to the top. They need a faster organization.

Firstly there was no parking. We had to park a 20 minute walk away from the cable cars. Well the line to get the cable cars was so long that we would have had to wait a couple of hours just to get up the mountain. It would have taken even longer to get down on one of the cable cars. I am not sure why there is such a terrible system operating on one of the biggest tourist attractions in South Africa. I am sure the views from the top must be amazing but maybe next time we will just hike up.

Absolutely amazing views. The sunset ticket was definitely worth it 👌🏽 If you are visiting you should definitely set aside some time to walk across the whole mountain. The views change as you go further in your walk. By the time you reach the other side of the mountain the sun is setting creating the perfect scene for a beautiful evening picnic. If you are more adventurous, there are other trails you can follow on the mountain for a more rugged experience.

Amazing views. Things to do. The only thing is it is truly worth the time to book a ticket for the cable cart online. Even in low season the lines for online and purchase when you arrive are extraordinarily different. Also if you park at the bottom of the hill the courtesy bus is really easy to get to the top.

Cape Towns' Table Mountain and Cableway is truly a sight to behold.
The mountain is flat topped hence its name and can be seen from virtually all parts of Cape Town. It is a fantastic tourist attraction with visitors using the cableway to access the Table Mountain National park which is home to thousands of species of fauna and flora, some of which are endemic to the region. The mountain is 1084 metres high and predominantly composed of sandstone.The cableway takes passengers from the lower cable station to the plateau at the top of the mountain.
The cableway was first opened in 1926 and has since then been extensively upgraded with new cableway cars giving a majestic 360 degree view as it ascends.There are restaurants , curio shops and numerous walking trails at the top of the mountain. Devil's Peak is to the east and Lion's Head to the west which forms a dramatic backdrop to Cape Town.One cannot visit Cape Town without visiting the iconic Table Mountain. Incredibly efficient and friendly staff all round! The free Walking Tour with local guide Rudi was absolutely delightful, and Rudi was very well informed and clearly passionate about the Table Mountain ecosystem, its fauna and flora.
Breakfast at the Table Mountain Café was surprisingly good (strong, good coffee also) and the staff were also exceptionally friendly and efficient!response / report this review -

An amazing experience with breathtaking views of cape town and the surrounding areas. One piece of advice, pre book your tickets and arrive early. We didn't have any issues with getting on the cable car but we went to have another trip without pre booking, the queue would have taken 2hours. Not good when there's no shade. The cable car floor moves round so everyone can breathe in the experience At the top, there's a brilliant cafe plus tourist shops etc. The walks are amazing but make sure you have sturdy shoes on, no flip flops ladies. Table mountain has to be the most beautiful and memorable places I've ever seen, certainly worth the 14hr flight to Cape Town. I really did leave my heart there

The ride up to Table Mountain via cable car was pretty cool as you are stationary while the floor spins giving you a 360 degree view of the beautiful surroundings. We arrived early (before 12:00 PM) and the lines were long (both pre-purchased tickets and ticket booth purchases). I recommend coming later in the day to avoid the lines. The food at the top of Table Mountain was good to and reasonably priced given its location. Bring a jacket because it's a little chilly! :)

Line was pretty long at 8:30am as all the tourist busses were already there. Took us about 40 minutes to get on the cable car but the cable car itself is great if you manage to get a spot by the window!

When visiting our beautiful city you must go up Table Mountain. Weather is unpredictable so always take something warm even if it is a hot day. There is a restaurant up there but you can take your own snacks. Magnificent views and the walks are for everyone from young children to super fit hikers. Do wear sensible shoes. AND Sunblock is crucial.

An absolute must for any visitor to Cape Town.
The waiting lines can sometimes be very long, however, if you've purchased tickets online and get there early, you can avoid the wait.
The weather can also change quite quickly no harm in carrying a jacket or sweater.
