Nice outdoor area, lots of restaurants to choose from. I feel that it is spoilt by a huge TV screen flashing advertising in people's faces. It should rather be off unless there's a specific sporting event etc

Great efficient service. Rooms are cosy, clean, and comfy. Easy access to food courts and theatre. Restaurant food was not good.

When staying over for shows at the Theatro we would normally stay at the 4 star Southern Sun Monte Casino. We decided to try the Sun Square and were very pleased with the experience. Rooms and amenities were naturally not as per the much more expensive Southern Sun. However, the staff were excellent the room was lovely and the hotel restaurant was first class.

Great idea for the kids. The afternoon was great. And it was not ridiculously expensive. R50 a child for the whole day. There were a number of inflatable play areas. The high light of the day was the water fountains in the middle of the park. It had the kids entertained for ages. Food and drinks in the park was a bit more expensive than the rest of Montecasino so if you did not mind a little walk back inside you could save yourself some money. A great way so spend Easter Monday.

Had an outstanding stay; my husband; who suffers from insomnia; actually slept for 7 hours straight!! The rooms are comfortable; clean and well ventilated. The breakfast in the morning; (which is included in room price); can compete with any 5 star restaurant. I would definitely recommend this experience!

Wonderful first stay, theatre is easily accessible from this hotel, literally the other side of the square. Helpful staff, breakfast was a bit slow on the coffee front, otherwise good. I'll recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable with friendly staff. Breakfast was great with good selection of food to choose from. Perfect Hotel for a fast stay over in JHB. Safe parking and lots of things to do at Monte Casino.

Great service and close to Montecasino, the rooms are nice and romantic if you want larger beds try the Southern Sun, these are a tight squeeze for two people.

Room were ok but the air conditioning did not work. Definitely not value for money and not worth the stay. Glass in the shower section should be frosted. In general the stay was pleasant because of its location (Monte).
