Food is overpriced for what you get, and most of what we wanted to order when we were there for lunch, was either not ready to be served (condense milk tart) or was out of stock. The service was great though.

This is a gem tucked away in the south of Johannesburg. My wife and I decided to visit the venue for lunch on Human Rights Day. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the lunch was superb. The food, prepared by their able chef Jermaine was delicious, and naturally we settled for the oxtail with mashed potatoes and spare ribs with chips with a side dish of hot veggies, finished with lemon tart, traditional milk tart and chi coffee.The owners (Dr John Athens) and the manager Jonathan along with his wife Lee-Anne made us feel welcome and cared for. Its a good place for a good meal, and the surroundings is lush with vegetation and greenery. The establishment is animal friendly. The prices are reasonable. Not open for supper though lunch and breakfast is available. Well done!

I was very disappointed with the customer service. I was a paying client but was treated like they were doing me a favour by renting their venue and kitchen facilities to my company. The head chef is very unprofessional and has no business or communication skills. He actually threatened my colleague after she complained about him to the venue coordinator. He wanted to throw us out during the event to show us who is in charge!? I wouldn't recommend this venue to anyone who is serious about their event. There is too much drama behind the scenes and when you have an event you can't afford any silly distractions. Very disappointed!!!
