OK - So I was reading all these great reviews, and thought: “This place better be great as my expectations are sky-high”
Well, they exceeded each expectation I had, and will highly recommend this spot to any fine food lover. The service was excellent and ingredients was of the highest quality! View is fantastic (bonus).

Defnitely worth a stop, fantastic breakfast menu with very generous portions. Lunch options also available. The pancakes are worth the calories! The gift shop offers a very large variety of items, some quite different from the usual offerings. Various jams, relishes etc. also available, some of which can be sampled in the restaurant. Unfortunaly no real play area for children which is the only lacking feature of this delightful rest stop.

Hands down the best pancakes I've ever eaten, the choices of filling it's almost endless. At Sugar & Cinnamon you always feel at home. If it's cold outside go in warm up at the fire enjoy a cup of coffee and great company. If you have never been, do your self a favor and make sure you visit them.

Loved it. Great friendly service, good honest food and such great attention to detail. The homemade chutney and chilli pesto is standout. Can recommend this place. Well worth a visit.

Great food and service in a beautiful and quaint setting. Waitresses were friendly, efficient, knowledgable pretty much ticked all the boxes. The menu offers a variety of light meals and desserts. The owner popped around and personally made sure everyone was happy and taken care of. This place is great breakfast or lunch stop if staying in or traveling through Golden Gate.

Have the Chicken Mayo Toasted Sandwich, but be warned - this is an experience that will forever ruin your ability to enjoy any other toasted sandwich again

Quint little odds and ends shop with a light meal Restaurant. Cosy and warm for the winter day. Hot chocolate with cute marshmallows and delicious carrot cake. Slightly above pricey but worth the visit.
Service is average but hostess walks around to check.

Awesome service, good food, friendly efficient staff. A bit on the pricey side, but pleasant non the less. Beautiful view of the mountains. Peaceful and quiet here.

A really nice peaceful little place. The food is amazing and well priced. There was a little snack on the table to enjoy before the meal was servrd. The owners are really nice people and easy to talk to. There is also a little shop attached to the restaurant. I will definitely go back.
