Lovely staff good food
Hi
I would just like to compliment the Watercrest Spur on the amazing service we have received . It was my daughters birthday today and the special treatment we received was absolutely fantastic, the management and staff are always brilliant and friendly. I can honestly say we are treated like family. Keep it up and well done.
It's Spur people, but as Spurs go, this one is good. Food is fresh, well made and restaurant is clean. Service isn't too offensive and is normally friendly. If you have kids it's a good bet
Good food and the waiter was very attentive. Great view of you go sit right at the back.
Two different experiences at this Spur.
The better one (hence two stars and not one star) was my wife, my infant daughter, and I - we went during a normal work day so it was quiet and empty. We received decent service and were satisfied. What we would usually expect.
The other time, far more dreadful. Took my wife, mother and two kids (4 and 2) and we had a host of problems.
Without boring you with the details; there were tremendously over-aged kids playing in the kids' play area and they were bullying the little kids to the point where little kids were running back to their tables crying. I was shocked. I alerted staff and they kind of half-energetically chastised a kid or two. The food and the orders also arrived late, with the Spur sauce being completely rancid - it took a long time, and some arguing, to get our order replaced. This experience garnered a one star for us.
Part of the franchise. Wonderful kids area and well supervised. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on the menu. Burgers, ribs, chicken, salads, fish, toasted sandwiches so a varied meal selection. Decent dessert selection. Lovely, friendly staff who will put on a great show if someone's birthday. Average for a main meal about R100.
