Every time you eat there , you will enjoy it. Always a 5 star occasion!
Simbithi Eco Estate needs little introduction. Based on the North Coast of KwaZulu Natal; the massive estate is ever-expanding. It provides safe, luxurious and eco-friendly estate living for families and holiday makers. A wide range of facilities are available - dams, catch-and-release fishing, community centres, a restaurant and bar. The large community swimming pools also come equipped with a pizza parlour. Indigenous flora, fauna and birds provide ample opportunity for the would-be explorers, bird-watchers and adventurous kiddies to play outdoors. Also features a fully functioning gym and Office Park
A new alternative with a shortened course aimed at allowing for a quicker round of golf. Excellent design and beautiful holes, with especially the small island green of less than 80 meters a special challenge playing from the top. The estate is an Eco estate and as such the environment is well protected and a must visit. The course are mainly par threes but has a number of par fours and is an 18 hole layout over a length of 3 902 meters and a par of 60. A pleasure to play.
Valentine’s Day
Chocolate truffle to start on arrival with a sip of champagne , not a glass.
Came out of a small bottle .
Ordered the same small bottle as my partner drinks beer.
Waitress stared at me and said it wasn’t possible .
Tables set lovely
Somehow the waiters have some type of attitude and just stare .
Table next to us ordered a small bottle of champagne and got it !!!
Food was terrible
Musician was terrible
My partners food was good and sufficient
I rather went for the vegetarian option
What a night mare , long waits
We left before the dessert and went to another restaurant to fill up with pasta.
The food was served beautiful and it was 300 rand per head Wich isn’t bad
Manager took one valentine’s dinner of.
But when I left and said goodbye to the staff about ten of them they ignored me and showed no Intrest
Bad feeling and definitely not loving
Food was amazing - curry bufet. Problem was that it was so hot in the restaurant that it was unpleasant. I cannot understand why they don't use the aircons. All the doors were open but no breeze in sight and it was like 35 degrees in the restaurant. Service here was way below average but it's what I have come to expect. Food is amazing though and very good value for money. Does this mean we should not expect a higher level of service??
Had good curries here and some bad ones. (Wednesday night curry buffet). Previous curry I had here tasted like it was frozen, reheated and mixed in with freshly made curry. I never went back for the curry buffet again.
Excellent playground. Supervised play with carers.
Wonderful place. Great tasting food at the Fig Tree. The executive golf course is beautiful and challenging, yet it's a quick playing course.
The Fig Tree Restaurant has just launched super menu. Simple delicious choices or something gourmet.
It has a wonderful view and also has the style and quality of high profile place.# i love their service
Restaurant is a superb venue / setting. The waiters / management lack training in my opinion. We stood around on arrival and had to entually ask to be seated, I had to request a wine list and we had to also repeated refill our glasses ourselves not to mention having to request another bottle of wine for our party when the first had been finished. They were pleasant and friendly but lacking in my opinion in important areas of service. The food was excellent and well presented.
It's got a peace of mind with beautiful wedding venue and a Golf course
Fantastic golf course. One of my favorites.
Fantastic course in the incredible umghlanga and not too badly priced.
Good facilities, good food, nice vibe. HOWEVER we arrived at the fig tree restaurant for breakfast and had a less than satisfactory experience. Firstly, they have only ONE fresh juice - orange juice!!! Then, they've no small glasses for children.
Secondly they serve no croissants in the restaurant!
The waitress says they are available at the golfers half-way house (10 meters away) and that"youngsters give me money and I will buy you one and bring it"").
Then when the croissants don't arrive anyway, we are told that they still have to bake them!!!
The young restaurant manageress was unrepentant and put everything down to "we still have the old menu - we will update it next year""
And this restaurant was awarded the "Best of the Best" title recently - how did they pull that one off?
Simbithi country club is a popular venue for ending your luxury day on the golf course. Service is very fast and friendly. Unfortunately the giant fig tree has fallen over and had to be removed however the restaurant has lost none of it fabulous charm
