One of the best breakfast spots in town, Salvation Café is the perfect place to enjoy pancakes or eggs Benedict on a sunny day. Lots of their tables are outdoors but in the shade of trees. The bustle of the big city seems far away. Their food is delicious, though a bit pricey. Don‘t miss out on the many boutiques around, you‘ll be sure to find something to take home

This is a lovely venue for breakfast. Go early as it tends to fill up by 9.30 am. Sat outside as the coffee machine is quite loud. Food was fresh and well prepared. There was enough variety for vegetarians. Toilets are in the complex and not at the restaurant

Located at the trendy 44 Stanley, this place is a real gem. Breakfast made to absolute perfection.

I had ordered a half portion of a certain meal (don't remember the name) but decided to get another half when the first portion was gobbled up in seconds because deliciousness happened. Staff were kind enough to charge for one full portion instead of 2 half portions.

A definite must try if you're in the vicinity

Had brunch here. Has a variety of food- sandwiches, burgers, drinks etc. Nice place to be having brunches, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Very hearty salads also- I had the tuna salad and the bf had the halloumi salad which was super good! Also really like Stanley avenue in general. It is filled with cafes and interesting stores!

I came across the gem as it was recommended on a website of cafes to visit. It didn't disappoint! I was there today, a quiet Monday and had great service and food. If you are at 44Stanley head straight here.

Salvation truly is one of the best spots for brunch in Johannesburg! Located inside Stanley 44, the cafe has large patio with tables not too close to one another. Very friendly and attentive staff, fast service as well as amazing quality of food! I ordered 5 spice calamari - I was firstly impressed by its big portion and secondly by its taste. You can tell all ingredients are fresh. Just as a reminder, make sure you tell staff the list of ingredients you want to avoid (or perhaps it's smarter to ask what's inside). I don't like cilantro and didn't think Asian green salad had cilantro in it. It took me some time to pick it out. Great experience here and will definitely go back!

Refused to take a 9AM Saturday booking for 17 people with one month's notice. After discussing champagne breakfast options the previous day, this was not mentioned to me. I was even prepared to pay a deposit. But I was still turned down.

Great spot in 44 Stanley. They serve some tasty burgers and have a few beers on tap. Salads and fish cakes are also popular options.

Hidden away, this little village area boasts a few little cafe style restaurants. Salvation cafe was our choice for the day. Service good. Definitely over priced and the fare is very simple with no fuss. Plating was a little boring to the eye and bland tasting burgers but where the food lacks in looks and presentation, the overall cafe makes up in atmosphere. The vibe is chilled, laid back with a very artsy village and eclectic aproach. Well worth a visit.
