Amazing place to stay with animals in an ultra luxury logde, meaning luxury as home stay feeling, warm people and team and very few guests. We were the only guests during the half of our staying there. Very good south African food, everything very fresh and an incredible personalized service and treatment! They made us feel like at home but in between elephants, rinos, Lyons or buffaloes!

This place was simply excellent. Delicious food. Amazing views. It is right by one of the watering holes so every time we sat down for breakfast, lunch or dinner we saw family of elephants, zebras, even a lioness were just steps away! It was an amazing experience! Staff were friendly and polite. We stayed at one of the huts and it had its own little pool in the back. We would see wild animals strolling by while we watched them from the pool. Just perfection!

Finally we're back again after 2 years of longing, this time for 5 nights. The reception was heartfelt and warming just as last time. With just 4 bungalows in operation you feel like you're home. The staff is always attentive and the food is just exquisite and beautifully presented. Adam keeps an excellent wine cellar to choose from.
The location just by the water hole makes breakfast, lunches and dinners very exciting. Suddenly a heard of elephants may appear from north or a flock of impalas very carefully approach through the bushes from south-east.
Our ranger this time on morning and afternoon safaris was Doctor. His knowledge of animal and plant life was just awesome. With his modest manners, very pleasant personality and knowledge on animal and plant life we had the time of our life.
Royal Madikwe is a gem within a gem. Forget about Krüger, Pilanesberg or any of the other Game Reserves. This is where you need to be.response / report this review -

Fantastic 5-star luxury experience in Madikwe Game Reserve. I can highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a luxury safari.
