    Managing very well under current constraints and difficulties. Well done to Neville and his team.
    It's not fun queueing outside with traffic speeding past, but I guess that's the best way to control numbers. There is of course no social distancing outside of the gates ... but once inside, spacing is well maintained.

    Not bad normally but due to covid 19 they are only allowing 10 people in at a time. Be prepared for a wait.

    Staff are friendly and helpful.

    We had to renew our drivers license two weeks ago and found out during the week that they were open over the weekend. We decided to try the Sunday morning to avoid any queues and to our pleasant surprise we were sorted out within an hour. The staff were pleasant and accommodating to ensure we had the correct paperwork beforehand.
    Well done people.

    I think the place is crouded especially in the morning if you have missed the clock,you will be the last in line. For those applying for learners license, drivers license test,PrDP,it all in service here.The scariest moment is when you doing the drivers license test and the traffic police officer is sitting next to you

    Poor service, extremely long queues.....waiting in the sun.
    I made many trips/attempts to renew licence.... they advised that they only assisting new applicants and are closed for renewals.
    On another day, they advised that they are only doing temporary licence......incured additional cost of R90 due to this because my licence was expiring and every day they are making excuses not to renew my licence.
    They also advised that there is an influx of applications and only handing out 150 on some days or 200 application forms for renewals/day yet remain opened and not assisting.

    Extremely long queues and waiting time. You need a good few hours to get anything done. Staff are slow and inefficient, I guess that’s what it is when it comes to government entities.

    They just don't answer the phones.. which is so frustrating..went to their office after applying 3 months ago and still nothing. .😡

    This place does not even deserve one star but anyways.... you wait for ages to renew your licence, only to be turned down before closing time. Have the decency to tell people you only willing to help a few people a day, instead of making people wait in the sun for NOTHING!

    The only 5 star deserved at this facility is for inefficiencies at every pillar & corner stone of the establishment! You have to be there as early as possible (+/- 05h30, oh and you will be standing on the roadside!!!) to secure a fairly good spot if you wish to be done early or as quick as possible... Alternatively there seems to be forms and spots up for sale??? Remember that you won't be allowed to park your vehicle inside the premises until 07h00 when the security officially opens the main gate. Upon entering the premises there is no signage to direct you to the correct line (communication with fellow line members is a must) whereby there's no formality. The staff of the testing grounds are there rather early but only service citizens from a certain time!
    Monday - Friday (07h45 to 14h30) except Wednesday's (08h45 to 14h30), apparently on Wednesday they have training.... I'm yet to see the improvement or if any (*waiting ...) Senior citizens do get priority, however friends & family of the employees also receive similar privileges! I'm not one to sit back and accept poor service or standards! To the employees of the Rossburgh Testing Grounds pull your socks up and get the job done... your'll are not doing the public any favors! As part of my ailing list of facilities your'll have joined The Department of Home Affairs (Pinetown & Umgeni Rd).

    Staff are extremely uninterested , the ques are long because they have so little staff working. It's extremely dissapointing that some staff treat us like children and are rude. When you ask people around the grounds , very few of them actually give you a helpful answer. Place also smells funny...

    Tried calling them today to query about opening times. The net clearly states that they are open 1st week and 3rd week of the month, but now it states they are closed.
    I need to renew my license as it expires on 26th of this month. I need to know all the proper details, like what do I need to do this.
    Can I renew it on Sundays as it states on the net? It is a problem for me to get leave from work.

    After all the negative experience i expected the worst. Total opposite , friendly staff , gates open at 6 make sure you there early as it gets really busy .Wednesday due to staff meetings they open at 7:45 am. Fast and efficient staff .

    It been 6 month now i have applied for my pdp, i got it back on the second month but had wrong thing well due to i signed the form too it was also my falt applied again now it been 4 months still it not back ever time i call they tell me next week as if i dont buy the air time i call with lately been trying to be the 1st person who calls since office hours are 7:30- 16:00 but for the hole hour from 07:30-08:30 it normally doesnt go through my worry is my temp is about to expiry yet still it not back

    Last time there I renewed license. To my surprise the licensing clerks explained the process of what will be happening, what documents they require and what will need to be Done if customers don't have everything. It was abrupt but to the point which I appreciated

    I have been to a few places, to renew my licenses during the years but never had I experienced such good service. The renewal ladies are really organised & VERY friendly. Will definitely go back again. They are amazing!

    I have been trying to call the offices to find out if my drivers license was ready and they refuse to answer the call. What makes it even worst is that when you get through to the relevant department they pick the call up and drop it immediately. Terrible service.

    Arrived at Rossburgh in response to an SMS to collect my driver's and queueing for almost an hour only to be told that the SMS was sent out by mistake. Told I should return in two week's time. Many others in the queue were similarly affected. No apology. No concern.

    Arrived at 09h15 to renew my drivers liceence. Polite young lady told me that she had stopped issuing forms for renewals and that I should come back the following day, with a reminder that they open at 07h00 the next day which was a Saturday. Unbelievably poor service. I would never dream of turning paying customers away at 09h00 in the morning.

    Update: Arrived at 06h30 on Saturday to find the gates closed. Parkes across the road and joined a que that already had more than q 100 people in it. Waited for outside for over 3 hours before I got into the testing room.

    Final update: Almost 6 hours to que and complete the application process for a renewal of my driver's licence. That is not right. Unbelievable that this is the service that we are expected to endure. And to cap it all off, we pay taxes and application fees for this privilege of standing in a que for 6 hours.

    Very very slow at processing paperwork. Unbearably slow. Just to apply for a renewal of a drivers license took the better part of a day. Sat in queues for a total of 5 hours. Unacceptable. A process like this should be quicker, or perhaps most of application could be done on line? More staff could be employed? Something has to be done. Ridiculous.

    Went for my license renewal today.
    I found the staff to be friendly and helpful.

    Entire thing took time - just less than 3 hours - but there were a number of people being processed. Perhaps took longer for me because older people were being given preferential treatment - such a good thing to do! I arrived at 7.20am, place opened at 7.45, and I was done by 10am.

    Make sure you have your current drivers, ID, a proof of Res not older than 3months, and take cash (was R250 when I went).
    No need for taking photos with. Take your own pen.

    Well done staff at Rossburgh Testing Ground!

    Applied for my learners license recently. The ladies at the office were rude & busy on their phones before they attended to me. The lady doing my eye test was very quick & efficient. Very few cashiers so there's very long q's. I was at the back of the q but I was moved to the front by some officials & served before others who had arrived before me

    I have never seen such incompetence in my life. Useless. Staff no help. Office help desk say theyou close anytime. If u go in After 9 they say come back tomorrow. Try callingubane them! No answer...everify. omg wat a waste of time

    Went yesterday Monday 19th June for drivers licence renewal , walked out after 6 hours , job completed , what a shambles and a disgrace .
    Two hours in the payment que , no supervisor around , what a shambles for something so simple

    i have my learners booked for friday afternoon and i have been told by one of my office collegues your electricity and water is cut off and that you are not running? why have you not informed anyone who has their tests booked?
    what is going to happen to the test now?
    i paid. i am expecting to right my test.
    very disgusted that you cant contact people

    Failure to communicate to people via signage their correct and updated operating hours as well as direction of which building handles which applications/enquiries as well as the sequence in which one should go about applying for a certain service/enquiry. Shocking manners/rude staff. A general lack of service and structure. Very disappointing
