This hotel has it all! Friendly staff, great food, clean and comfortable, free wifi, nice little gift shop, relaxing pool area. Everything was very reasonably priced. Our game drive was awesome! I would highly recommend this place.

Had a very disapointing lunch. The staff at the restaurant simply could not get our order right, did not have stock for all the items on the menu and did not deliver what the descriptions on the menu said. Quite embarrassing for us as we had international guests with us. The staff did not even apologise but instead argued with us.

First night, we went to dinner and were told an hour before the buffet closes that some of the food is finished and were not going to be replaced, after making a noise, the extra food arrived. Wake in the morning and had to have a cold shower as the hot water was finished?!? Get back to the room, no fresh towels replaced, ask for towels and the housekeeper comes with "clean" towels and put them on the floor outside the room to sort them out and give me "clean" towels??? The room was not vacuumed. They then compensate us with dinner on the house with a promise that the General Manager will talk to us, however she did not arrive. So we had no towels to use. This is the first Protea Hotel that we stayed at with pathetic service and still paid the full price? Very very disappointed!
