One of the best steak houses in South Africa. Have not had such a good steak5in years. Good efficient and attentive staff. Wonderful meal.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Hazyview. We shared a starter portion of the Bobotie spring rolls - which were excellent.

However on this occasion I ordered a rib eye steak Medium Rare . I was served a steak that was full of gristle andbit arrived Well Done! I therefore sent the steak back.

The restaurant were apologetic and did offer to cook me something else, however as my wife was halfway through her ribs ( which by the way we're delicious) and I did not wish to eat by myself, i opted to have the cost of the steak taken off the bill. Unfortunately it spoilt what was supposed to be a special dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday.

I have read previous reports of other clients also complaining about the quality of their ribeye steak, so there seems to be an issue with this cut of meat in so far as this restaurant is concerned.

On another point - when we arrived at the restaurant their were 3 waitress propping themselves up against the wall. Not one of them greeted or welcomed us to the restaurant but merely continued to slouch against the wall. This really shows poor staff training or discipline.

Really enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was relaxing with a good mix of decor- loved the huge up side down train track in the center and the wine cellar. Food was very good, we had the best Crocodile mains, sides a bit scarce but nothing to complain about really.
