Just a short overnight stay, but chalets were clean and tidy. Amenities looked good, with a good area of access to the water, trampolines, jungle gyms for kids, pools, conference venue / restaurant. Very family friendly, although chalets are arranged in large circles / ovals looking onto central gardens, which personally doesn't appeal.
Lovely place. Great activities for everyone. Security is good, no need to stress about your children. Good quality holiday at an affordable rate
This is a most fantastic family vacation destination. I was so happy to be here with my family and I cannot wait to return here. It'll be a destination we return to for many years. There's canoes and paddle boats and stand up boards and 3 pools. We barbequed twice and we watched satellite television in the evening. There's lots to do in and around the resort: beaches, restaurants, etc. I could not have asked for a better time and it will be something I remember for the rest of my life.
This was an exceptional stay for me and my partner. Warm welcome, clean and well furnished accommodation. Excellent price for Quality. We especially enjoyed the heated swimming pool + indoor gym + canoeing on the Swartvlei. Good location for a quite getaway. Would certainly recommend this to a friend or family member.
We had a great week. The children had loads of fun. The place is beautiful. The housekeeping and maintenance teams were amazingly friendly and helpful. Their services were the best. A special thanks to Geraldine and Debbie for their warm welcome and great service.
My family and I will go back anytime.
Pine Lake is a wonderful vacation spot. Safe for children, you can take your little pet along with you - but remember to book a pet-friendly unit. There is so much to do, from a friendly game of tennis to a playful day on the dam.
For 8 years, we had a time of our lives at Pine Lake Marina Resort. This is almost 17/+ years ago. I have seen online what beautiful upgradings has been done over the years, to the already peacefully and outstanding resort. Even after all these years, I still think back to the beautiful memories I have with my son at Pine lake Marina Resort. He was just over two year old, when we first came. Ironic enough, today I live in The Netherlands and I often chat with my son on linehe still live in South Africawe always talk about our time there. Just minutes ago, we talked about Pine Lake Marina Resort again, and we said it would be so fantastic, to go there again. Pine Lake Marina Resort, is one of the most outstanding resorts in South Africa and I am proud to recommend them to anyone worldwide. Not only that, but also what beautiful people we South Africans are, and that is no cliché! That's one of the first things you learn, when you move abroad. Well done Pine lake Marina Resort! You'll be always in my heart and I know, you will always be part of so many people's lives through the memories created by spending time with you. The very best in every journey you take and may business journeys take you through the path's and life of your clients.
Best regards,
Sonja and Corné Damen in the Netherlands
Beautifully well kept garden, clean house and friendly staff. All round nice place
Oh Wow! Where do I start?? Me and my husband had our honeymoon at Pine Lake Marina for 2 weeks, and I was so disappointed. First of all, our place was dirty, cutlery old, fridge had a fish smell, couch had old food underneath the pillows and the toilet seat is old and dirty. That is unacceptable. Atleast they took the towels every 3rd day for a wash. The Game room is very outdated and they never really had the drinks we asked for, like I stepped back into the 90 s. Our last day we wanted to go for a drink, and by mistake not seeing the sign that they have their year end Function, we asked for a drink and one of the staff members was not friendly at all! It was for her to much of a hassle to make 2 drinks. The Function started 4, and we got there at 15:30. I Suggest sending a message to your clients to say there will be a year end Function in the Future. On the positive side, not all staff members were bad, there was friendly people around, and the gym was clean and tidy. Pine Lake Marina, you wont see me again.
Fun, safe and amazing place. A well recommended family destination.
Total awesomeness! Beautiful! My family and i enjoyed our first ever family vacation at Pinelake Marina over the Easter weekend (13th April - 17th April 2017). It was memorable and breathtaking, the scenery, the greenery. There was so much activities for our kids and ourselves. We tried almost everything available. The food, the cocktails, dessert was absolutely lovely. The staff were professional, friendly and accommodating. The place was clean - there was no litter, no noise, no unruly behaviour/neighbours - a big change to the city.. Would we visit and recommend Pinelake Marina - absolutely, already have.. My only suggestion - is if the salons would remain open longer over the long weekend, maybe closing later or working in shifts.. THANK YOU and KEEP UP THE AWESOMENESS
Loads of fun for everyone. around February is the best time to go, no wind only sun shine. loads of places to check out in and around the area as well.
After coming here for 4 years.. 2017 has by far been the worst.. No chalet en suite(first time ever) hard uncomfortable bed.. Don't try to relax because they'll be grinding all day..(why can't this type of work be scheduled way off season) but the worst thing.. The people playing loud music from their cars and getting away with it For so much money you'd expect a relaxed environment.. Thank goodness its the last time.. Pine lake.. Its been fun (3/4 times)
Good option for families. Has everything you need in a holiday resort. The roof fans are hardly enough to combat the warm nights.
Definitely a holiday destination that I will be going back to. Loads of activities to keep busy and a very tranquil and peaceful setting. Chalets are neat and tidy. Kids will love it and adults can have a very relaxed and enjoyable break.
