Loved the hornbill and guinea fowl that pinch your food when you don't look.

Save your sightings on the digital map and view others. Buy a colddrink or ice cream in the shop (have never tried the sit down restaurant) and go watch the animals that have sauntered in to the pond / mud pool / salt lick area next to the viewing deck!

The focal point of Pilanesburg Nature Reserve. Closed on Christmas day and new years day. Ordered a cup of hot chocolate. Cup was filthy. The watering hole attracts lots of animals with close up viewing. The centre has a shop that stocks biscuits and chocolate but rather expensive. Sighting board is constantly updated. Toilets are few but clean

This is a once a month stop for us, the best local burgers and pizzas, facility is a bit dated and need some maintenance but still worth the 5 stars

Got to the centre restaurant at 11am. Sat at a table and looked for a waiter. All the wait staff were sitting at the tables in front of the kitchen in the sun chatting. After waiting for 10 minutes with none of them budging, decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Waiters could not be bothered to do their jobs.

Went back on another day and the service was much better. The breakfast wrap was excellent.

The Zebra crossing at the Centre (Old courthouse)of the park was a wonderful surprise with excellent light meals and breakfasts, all well presented. We loved the toasted egg and bacon and the french toast. With only a generator for electricity it is incredible what they offer and the setting at the waterhole invariably results in wonderful sightings. We saw 5 giraffe and several zebra as well as a selection of wild birds. A photographers dream.
A shop selling supplies and curios and a delightful and there are nice clean toilets. Just remember when you get out of your car that wild animals including predators and elephant have been seen in the carpark

Great pizzas and a view second to none. We sat on the veranda and waiting for the pizzas we were entertained by a group of giraffes and a resident hippo and had a good laugh at their antics. The restaurant has a good variety and the shop offers basic goods - just a bit expensive.
