Aweful place.
We booked in this weekend 16.02.18 till 18.02.18. Woke up on saturday morning to find our vehicles window broken and everything stolen. The reception was called and the contacted the owner but sent up the security guard who the night before reeked of alcohol to come up and look. When the owner eventually got there just stated how shocked he was and that this had never happened before. And he advised us to call the cops and lay a case. I mean really he was not in the least bit concerned. When we asked him for the number for the police station told us to google it. They were so unhelpful and could not care less how frustrated we were. All we heard was well this is south africa these things happen. Yes these things do happen but when you leave the safety of your home and pay a resort. You dont expect to be treated the way we were. Then still had the nerve to come and tell us that we must apologize to his receptionist because we told her we wanted our money back.
We kept being told that we signed a disclaimer so they not responsible and believe me he takes no responsibility at all. All i can says is be careful when booking there, you will not get what you paid for. And if anything happens to you they could care less.
I would never in my life ever go back there and would never recommend it.response / report this review -

Fals advertising! Everythingis dead lodge is not in a good condition! Cleaners pitch up at after 2 pm ! The bath tub is the jacuzzi ! The hole lodge need maintenance. Sorry to say but I was not happy

Got exactly what we needed as a company needing a venue for training. Relaxing atmosphere and staff are very helpful and polite. Will use again!

When booking chose breakfast included at higher than the standard fee. Had to argue and threaten to get the breakfast as "the owners decided not to include breakfast anymore" even though I paid the higher price ! I was upset that "the owners" tried to change what was offered at the time of booking .

The food is good. However if you are going to advertise a free beer for fathers on father day, ensure that you stick to the advertisements. Also it would be a good idea to ensure that there is sufficient salt and pepper cellar s on every table. Guest should not be wondering around looking for the only set there is. Waiters really need to step up and learn to right and understand English. If you are going to use foreign nationals as waiters, remember that they are part of the guest experience. Simple things like milk shakes and various coffees should be a viable as well.
