These days the old post office is one of several reputable guest houses in the Calitzdorp to Rooikrans scenic route which is a great place in the Nel's river valley for photographers, twitter, walkers, mountain bikers etc.
Be mindful that temperatures can rise in the afternoon so if your participating in energetic activities make an early start.
