  Good stop over spot in De Rust. Food was good and service so so. But warm hospitality from locals.

  🐘 The best pizza in town? I suppose so, given that there is no competition. I prefer crisp thin bases to doughy conglomerations. The medium pizza is a fair size. Friendly service though. The beer was cold and the tableware clean. The smokers at all the tables surrounding us seem to enjoy the fresh air of the Karoo. There should be a non-smokers corner for us with kids.
  BTW Herrie's takes its name from Herrie se klip in the Meiringspoort pass nearby, which takes its name from CJ Langenhoven's mythical elephant of the same name. Go check out the rock in the pass.
  The shop closes at 7PM daily but the resturant status open until the last patron crawls out.

  As soon as we walked in, we walked out again. Not a great place if you want to taste the food you eat. If you are smoker, you probably won't have a problem with it.
