Excellent camp that is very quite and peaceful. The accomodation needs some paint. The waterhole is a big attraction and a leopards visit one evening was a highlight.Beware of the baboons visits in the morning as they cause havoc on anything edible left outside.Roads offer a wide variety of game and the King of the jungle is often seen.Camp is well managed and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The shop offer basics and staff are very helpful.A real gem in Kruger
Nice and quiet, the honey badger will definitely pay you a visit at night so don't leave any food out. What the honey badger didn't take at night, the baboons will try and take in the morning. The place can do with a lick of paint and the gardens are a mess.
One of the smaller rest camps in Kruger National Park with some large family thatched units. Small shop sells all the essentials, but no restaurant. There is a small coffee kiosk selling freshly ground cuppa's!
Definitely visit again. Very peaceful. You will see lots of wild life.
Its the mouth of the Kruger. You get to tell how live the park is when you get to Orpen. It's quite interesting because the site is a border between the park and a human commuty There is a lot to see and learn
Clean chalets prettty camp with a webcam at drinking hole
Orpen is a useful restcamp and services two other camping sites. It has a multitude of safari-based activities with some amenities, such as a swimming pool, but it could do with a petrol station. Very friendly staff, though, and you will be made to feel welcome.
Really great camp, with friendly staff and facilities.
Love the camp, it's well kept and small. Awesome view of the webcam.
Nice quiet rest camp. Always a pleasure to stay in the 6 sleeper cottages. Good view of the water hole from inside the camp. Nice pool and little shop. Great value for money when staying in the park.
Best place to be excellent game at the waterhole just sorry the video cam has been down for months
Amazing Vibe. Awesome staff. Loooots of wildlife.
Small and quiet camp overlooking a waterhole.
Loved entering the Kruger National Park through this gate!
Orpen is nice a cozy. Not too many bungalows. Bungalows are well laid out and have showers and a toilet. Right on the Orpen Gate.
