Braai facilities on site, well maintained. If you like being in nature and swimming in a rock pool, this is the place to be! One can also be brave and attempt jumping off a cliff face into the water below.

Very nice place for a braai with friends.
Just sad about people passing away after jumping into the water. So, we've had to stop going there with kids now :( will miss it though.

Nkwe is a fantastic spot to visit for the whole family. The swimming area is large and has many shaded picnic/braai spots surrounding it. The camping or caravans sites are well maintained. Only issue is the distance from everything else, but if it's an escape you want it's an escape you'll get.
    R60 per person day visit.

Nkwe Pleasure Resort is the perfect place to spend a day with friends and family. There are areas to braai, natural rock pools to swim in, and there is even a camping ground if you're looking for a longer stay. Safe for young kids, and there are specific areas for disabled if needed.

Great family picnic spot. Definitely a must. It's a pity there are always a select few that cant adhere to the "no music" rule.

For someone who works in the travel and resort industry for a long time, I'm very disappointed in the resort quality and the overall treatment we received during our weekend stay.

The verbal understanding and chalet were paid upon on arrival with no tax invoice or receipt provided, even after we asked for one numerous times. A proof of full payment was sent from my side. What followed was a constant harassment from the caretaker of the quests in the form of messages and physical presence. Waking us up by knocking on the door numerous phone calls, issues with the gate. Then complaining about us sleeping late the Saturday. Suppose that's what you do when you seek out rest from a weekend away.

In my opinion their pricing is completely exorbitant for the value and service received. From the towels in the unit was dirty upon arrival and one would expect for that price the unit should be fully serviced.

The service, quality, and treatment of the resort are poor. Admin is a mess. Owner is extremely rude. Wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here. Which is a shame, for I truly believed the resort would live up to expectation.

I have been visiting Nkwe since I was a kid and it is still as great as the first day. Literally part of my upbringing to swim in the pools and jump from the cliff! Great for a braai or a pick nick but not a large student "jol" as music is not allowed. It is a bit sad but this place is meant to be enjoyed for the nature.

All this place has to offer is natural stream for one to jump into from the rocks. But its great for picnic, romantic or for the family and friends.

We arrived at Nkwe with high hopes, we were the only visitors at the time. We listened to some music and the owner turned up instructing me to turn down the volume as I walked to his car to apologize he drove away. After turning te music down and enjoying a boerewors rol he arrived again and this time treated us like scum he told us to get out of his establishedment within 5 minutes or he'll lock us in. Before I had any chance to explain what happend not knowing we aren't allowed to play music he drove away. This was probably the worst I was ever treated at any business, no wonder we were the only guest there

Had a nice winter day picnic. The day visitor entrance fee is a bit pricey, would not be to bad if the resort had provided some entertainment

Perfectly set up. Everything you need in the cabin. Braai area under trees and just beautiful surroundings. Management was super friendly and very accommodating. It was enjoyed by all. Thank you!

We love visiting Nkwe, they have awesome natural rock pools to swim in, braai facilities and also offer camping. We like to camp near the back of the resort where there is loads more space, and a beautiful setting with big trees and a river that flows through the campsite. Friendly Service - and well priced.
