My hospital experience went very well initially, from the covid screening, the rapid covid test, admission to the beautiful labour room, the encouraging and considerate midwife and the selection of halaal food provided.
My labour was rather pleasant until my gynaecologist, Dr. Neesha Rajoo walked in. She was negative, unprofessional and inconsiderate. She spoke about me in front of me, telling the midwife that "I feel like she isn't pushing hard enough, it's like she is trying to be classy about it." When my baby's head was visible to the outside world, instead of encouraging the birth, she said that she will do a c-section if I don't deliver in 20 minutes, adding pressure to the situation. Dr. Rajoo then left and came back after I delivered my placenta and said that she cannot see how to do my stitches, and instead of going to an area with better lighting , she did the stitches, stating loudly that "this is a disaster" - words that don't want to be heard in a state of vulnerability after a day of being in labour. When I enquired about the number of stitches, Dr Rajoo said that she does not even know how many but "about 20". The next morning she was sure to mention that the natural delivery is not better than a c-section. She did not look at the stitches nor inform me regarding the type of stitches and the care thereafter. She discharged me with feelings of anxiety and negativity. Had she not made such harsh and negative comments, the experience would have left me empowered for I was definitely not trying to be classy, but I was trying to be positive with good pain management.
Worst experience ever in the pediatric ward. I have had to complain from cleaning, food, to customer treatment in just 2 days of admission. Excuses made with COVID restrictions for poor service level. Requests ignored until escalated and even then not formally documented for effective change, leaving customer patronized really. More specifically, menu is horrible and not flexible enough for children, fruits are treated like a special request, which was only provided after escalated complaint, instead the menu offers curried mince & custard n jelly for children & only 4 options to choose from and is the same every day, no yogurt..they really don’t bother with the children, let alone if they present with multiple allergies! Basic diet requirements for children really is fruit & vegetables, nothing about this should be a special request, I don’t feed my children excessive sugar like jelly n custard daily. Cleaning services only attended to our mini space at 16:00 after requesting for service in the morning at around 9:00 for spilled medication and sticky floor, not to mention that the infant across from us was vomiting & suffering from diarrhea, we were blatantly left in this condition all day long 😭. The space is extremely squashed, nurse even tripped & almost fell on me overnight, mind you there’s only a court and recliner chair at most. Their offering is that parents accompanying infants & children sleep on recliner chairs for the whole admission period, you can literally only sit in this chair, forget lying downthey say you must pay an additional R750 per night to book a Family roomdaylight robbery for basic consideration for accompanying parent and child patient!!! This only makes sense for family stay over (both parents type arrangement), not for basic care that you are already paying for!!!! THERE IS BLATANT DISREGARD FOR THE ACCOMPANYING PARENT OF INFANT OR CHILD MINOR, WHEN THERE IS A REQUIREMENT TO LODGE WITH THE INFANT. WE ARE NOT HERE SEEKING A HOLIDAY, WE ARE HERE TO CATER TO OUR CHILDREN’s NEEDS PHYSICALLY & EMOTIONALLY, PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE IN YOUR CLIENT OFFERING, DESIGN PACKAGES THAT ARE RELEVANT & APPROPRIATE AT A BASIC LEVEL, THEN YOU CAN DIFFERENTIATE FOR ADDITIONAL REVENUE & BROAD OFFERING. ITS INHUMANE TO EXPECT A PERSON TO SLEEP SITTING UP FOR A WEEK STRAIGHT WHEN THEY ARE REQUIRED TO BE ALONGSIDE THE THE MINOR. Add to all this I’ll treatment a mal-functional recliner chair that I got, raised concerns and was told about COVID ZONES for persons still awaiting results, mind you mom takes that rapid test before admission of the child. I was told due to deep-cleaning requirements & zoning, chairs can’t just be moved around, I must wait for baby’s COVID results to be moved to a different space with a working chair I let it slide the first night, until now I noticed nothing is done with much consideration for the client here, you are mistaken to think that your client at this point is only baby since I am required & want to lodge with my precious little one. Imagine if baby is admitted alone and has no voice to even speak up about basic care & diet requirements SHAME ON YOU REALLY FOR EVER TREATING US LIKE THIS. I CAN GUARANTEE YOU YOU WILL NEVER EVER SEE ANY FURTHER BUSINESS OR RECOMMENDATION FROM ME. I KNOW WHAT II AM ASKING IS NOT FAR-FETCHED BECAUSE MEDICLINIC DOES IT PERFECTLY AND ALLOWS US TIME AND ENERGY TO FOCUS ON BABY’s HEALING, NOT RIDICULOUS BASICS. My complaints were indeed escalated to the individual function managers, no formal records were made, just people explaining & some defending their stance. Some of the issues I raised were discovered not to even be knew but have clearly not effectively changed for the next client’s experience -SHEER DISREGARD FOR US REALLY! MEDICLINIC OFFERS DAILY WRITTEN FEEDBACK FORMS & ACTUALLY TAKES TIME TO RESPOND ON PUBLIC REVIEWS ON GOOGLE, NO EFFORT AGAIN FROM YOUR SIDE ON BOTH THESE SIMPLE MEASURES! ITS A REAL PITTY BECAUSE I THINK YOU FRUSTRATE AND DETRACT THE NURSES FROM DOING THEIR PROFESSIONAL JOB AND THEY ARE NOT TRAINED FOR CLIENT MNGMN
ERASA at dr. FOURIE's rooms did my 4D scan. What an experience! She explained EVERYTHING to us, EVERY step of the way. Friendly yet professional, patient with all of our questions, and mine was an last-minute booking, not even a formal appointment. The medical profession needs more people like her. Hopefully the Doctor realizes what a gem he has in his rooms! Definitely worth every single sent spent there. I HIGHLY recommend this lady for your scans, she just adds that something extra to your special time necessities.
Great staff and the home affairs lady is very friendly and efficient. The nurses were exceptional as well ast the doctors.
I haven't been here for 2hours but t sister Annie was so sweet and caring.. Thank you for making my time here as easy as possible.. God bless you for me..
The best birth/baby hospital in Pretoria. The service is perfect, quick and the premises is very clean. There is even a home affairs branch and a conventient shop.
Netcare Femina Hospital is an amazing hospital though not really charming outside, very clean rooms, professional staff, healthy food (mmmm really tasty food) and efficient kitchen staff. I had a wonderful birth experience, I was well assisted, respected , listened to, well advised, cared for and well those rooms made me feel like I was in a hotel too, no sharing, since you have your own everything (all their rooms are private, no sharing of ANYTHING) except in the Peads 2 beds per room and mommies sleep in a sleeper couch for FREE. My baby was later admitted for jaundice and we spent 5 days at this hospital. At 4 months my baby was admitted again in this hospital for 4 days. I was also treated here when I was still pregnant on a weekend for bleeding. I have enough experience in this hospital to tell you that it is an amazing place for pregnant mommies and kidz. The management is very visible , at least once EVERY DAY they come and see you and ask if you have any concerns and complaints. Everyone here is just amazing!
The best experience ever the service here is the best the staff the security all are so professional. All staff guys you'll the best
Neat, professional team from friendly receptionist, good nurses, the great Doctors, excellent staff etc. My wife gave birth to healthy and strong twins there on 01/09/2017. The service was exceptionally well . I am recommending this hospital to any woman who wants to be treated with respect and the dignity they deserve.
Neat. Modern. Enough parking.
they have the best team and very efficient. I lost my radio logical report and they helped me retrieve all my reports in less than one hour. Thank you so much Netcare femina team!!
Almost 2 years ago, my amazing daughter was born at Femina. I take my hat off for the team working there, my wife had the best time at the hospital when she was there. I totally recommend this hospital.
Best hospital ever, my baby girl was born there 8th of March 2015, best service ever the staff was so helpfull, patient most of the staff was really helpfull, I would recommend any women to go to Femina hospital. I couldn't so for a better hospital, they will definitely see me again.
What is the point of providing the Clinic's telephone number if no one answers wen I tried to find out how my daughter was this morning after the operation last night? The time was 06h50. I think it is pathetic!!
Got the best service with my son's birth, from gynecologist visits to walking out with my son in my hands.
Great staff
The level of professional conduct, humanity, love, warmth, dedication.. I can go on and on. The staff members at Femina are best in the business. From admission, the sisters (shuuuu if I have to go on about the sisters I will end up writing an entire novel)🙏🏿🙏🏿 they are simply God sent, every single one of them.
I was impressed by them when I gave birth to my first born in 2010, and still am in 2016.
Thank you to every single one of you 😘
I got the best care when i delivered my son at Femina. The sisters were friendly and very helpful.
Was at the hospital last week, said our medical aid can't cover for my wife stay in the hospital , I was asked to pay cash. The following day the hospital called that we over charged you and will give you a refund . I sent an email to ask when we going to get the money till today no response this is the second time they have said we over charged you and the first refund has not been recieved since September last year . They must know what to charge for and exactly how much. Bad experience
