Lovely place to stop and enjoy a meal on your journey. Fast and friendly service, delicious food. Portions are a bit on the small side but priced appropriately. Beautiful decor inside the restaurant, spectacular scenery outside.

Very friendly, fast and helpful. We stopped for breakfast early on a Saterday morning, we were a big group of 13 people. They were busy but still they accommodated us by moving tables so we could sit together on one table. My grandson of 3 got to feed the fish, huge big carp. The service was fast and efficient and the food was delicious. Prices are comparable to other places.

The view of the fish from the restaurant is amazing. I had their speciality trout pie I think; it was the most amazing meal and the chips were great. The service was quick and the waiters didn't bother us at all. I had one of their homemade juices and it was also great.

Accommodates all stoppers from garage, casual eating, restaurant and those who bring their own eats. The trout pies are unbelievably delicious. Well worth the stop.

Great food and a fantastic setting. The service from manager and waiters (yes, there is a manager present on duty) was fast, polite and efficient. The restaurant is clean and spacious (this include the toilets!)
As a tour guide I will definitely keep on bringing my guests to this lovely place - if you bring a crowd of people, order your food in advance and it will be ready when you arrive! :) Thanks!!response / report this review -

Our favourite stop. The improvements on the restrooms are very impressive. The most beautiful fresh flowers in the ladies restroom just adds that extra special touch.

Recommended travel stop along the N4 when travelling towards Nelspruit. Beautiful setting which also offers a lovely restaurant, filling station and convenience store. A popular detination for trout pies.

Very unique experience, highly affordable prices for food, with good wait staff. Feeding the fish in the lake whilst you eat is an enjoyable way to pass the time while you enjoy your dining experience.

Loved the great food excellent service and attention to detail. The kids toys are a great consideration to ensure easy lunch with little ones. Bathrooms beautiful and clean with provision for baby changing and toddler/ family bathroom. Well done!

Stunning view across the dam. See swallows darting about including some big fish in the water. Excellent place to dine. Breakfast was great.
