Wide variety of space to relax. Next to the swimming pool, the river, the waterslide, lawns and many more. Extremely busy over weekends during summertime and can get a bit congested.
Fee paid at security entrance and a fair amount of shaded parking available inside.
Staff friendly and helpful in general.
Cannot launch boats in this part of the river.

Will never stay over again. Supervisors should do their work properly after cleaners are finished. Dirty basin (discusting) shower curtain in desparate state of changing. dirty curtains all over.

Perfect place to have a braai with a couple of friends next to a river. It can sometimes can overcrowded with day visitors but is still a very pleasant place to visit.

This place has a LOT of untapped potential! The bathroom facilities are clean and easily accessible and there is a beautiful and vast area for walks and exploration. Nonetheless, the trump card for this place is its facilities (swimming pools and their surrounding fences, put-put course, trampolines, swings, super tubes, braai areas, etc) - these easily merit the cost they charge for the day/camping but are not maintained like they used to be. Furthermore, the quality of customer service is very inconsistent and you never know what you are going to get. I did not visit the restaurant on the premises but I believe it is very good and well worth a visit. I will definitely visit again to see how this establishment is doing 5 years from now.

Lovely place BUT will certainly never go there again over a weekend or during holiday times. Day visitors took over the swimming pool and every other facility available, people who stayed over in chalets had no consideration for anyone else, only their LOUD music, LOUD chatting and shouting and dancing mattered to them. People who stayed in the chalet behind ours kept on "partying" until about 23h30, despite "silent" policy after 22h00! All this said, I still think during the week from Monday to Thursday will most probably be much better as day visitors will probably be near to non-existent. And of course we chose the "wrong" time of year for a weekend away. Overall, Maselspoort is really a lovely place to stay and the staff (from cleaning to management) were all very helpful, professional and friendly.
