    This Makro store is useless and so are the people working in the call centre. I returned a washing machine a month ago and still have not received my refund. I've called and emailed every day in the last month without a response. Apparently the case was referred to the Finance department, but I have not received any feedback!

    I went to purchase a vacuum cleaner and Hisense speaker, as well as visited the "braai goods" isle and every single one of the staff members I interacted with at this store, were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable! They really do go the extra mile, compared to other stores.

    Makro’s store and online platform are completely useless. I ordered an item a week ago on their website, and from the moment it arrived, it’s been nothing but a nightmare. I immediately logged a return, and they passed it off to the store where it was collected from. A store rep called on Friday, saying they’d update me by Monday—well, Monday came and went with zero feedback. I called both the store and call center multiple times, and not a single person could assist me. To make things worse, they sent me to their courier team, who just redirected me right back to Makro. This went on for Tuesday and Wednesday, with no one stepping up to help.

    Today, the 31st, I demanded to speak to a manager. They called back, promising to “look into it” and get the item collected and replaced. Surprise, surprise—I’m still waiting for that call. As a customer, I have done everything I can, and for what? I spent 8,000 on this item because it was a necessity, and all I’ve gotten is runaround and excuses. @Makro, if you can’t handle online orders properly, especially when there’s an issue, then stop doing them.

    There was this guy in the parking lot waving is arms around and asking for a tip. Thought he could be usefull around the house so I grabbed him and took him inside to ask how much it was. They looked at me funny and laughed so then I just took him and put it in the boot. Was resisting alot. Working in garden now. Does good job💪🏿👍👍

    All staff were super polite. Have to mention I was assisted by Ms. Dieketsang for my TV exchange. She was so patient and helpful! I got everything sorted so quickly. 10/10 service

    Queues very long and it is a long wait to get in. They don't disinfect the entry cards they give you when you go in and I am not happy with someone handing me a wet wipe to clean the trolley with. Allow me to touch my own wet wipes please for the sake of hygiene. However, the staff inside appears to be friendlier and the check out queues are shorter

    In-store service has always been great, thanks. This rating is for online service. This may be early to do so but I expected better.
    I tried to purchase online. Encountered several issues:
    * Ordering items online is a challenge since searching for, and finding, the right items is tedious and time consuming.
    * The option to collect purchases from the store was indicated as "store collection not available". I do not wish to have goods delivered by a "third party".
    * Phoning for help was useless, too many electronic intercepts between me and an operator. No direct line to specific store.

    Brilliant Makro. Through this horrible pandemic, they have maintained a well stocked store, great prices, and the staff are helpful and polite. There is no sense of panic, which makes it a lovely experience and they have posters reminding us to be fair to all and not over buy. The whole vibe is amazing and true love and respect is shown at this store. Highly recommended!

    The service at this Makro store is a lot better than the one in Milnerton. At least you can find staff who can assist you. As with all Makro stores there is more product than you have time to see and buy but a good selection altogether. Queues move quickly and cashiers are friendly.

    Just yes! What a great shop with such a great variety at really good prices! The staff are super friendly and will to go the extra mile for their customers. Havnt had problems here. Im very happy with the outstanding service they have given me in the past and present!

    It is a great place that offers a wide variety of things for your home office or garden...from food to appliances to clothing to office furniture to camping to kids stuff and animals stuff you name it they will certainly have it. But bare in mind that you need to register to acquire a card other wise you will not be able to make your shopping. But it is very easy to do so all you need is your id or passport and you should be good to go. They have a small cafe in there as well as a wors stand outside that makes amazing food. They are very good with their exchange or thing when they in not so good working condition. Personal is very friendly and good deals are often found in here.

    Wow! They have brand new goods ranging from plasma TVs, clothing's, laptops, tablets, office furniture, camp chairs, phones, brand new jeans to fridges, u mention it, they have it! I highly recommend this place. They even have trailers! Staff are so helpful. Building is air conditioned. Its child friendly. Its friendly to the physically disabled and to the elderly. Why not shop here! U won't regret!!!

    Big store with great selection and variety. Competitive prices - some retailers buy food there to resell (Pick n Pay). Always a deal or two.

    Four stars only as sales staff are too few and unequipped with the tools for fast service. They always have to run to the back to get electronic stock while loosing the opportunity for another sale - and I hate waiting when I know what I want! Management need to assign collectors in order to keep sales staff on the sales floor where they belong.

    This Makro has a dedicated online sales collection point, but generally all online sales is a mess at all Makros. Quicker just to pop in ans wait on the sales person and then stand at the till.

    Don't get better deals elsewhere.

    Service at the online collection counter is TERRIBLE! Stood around for half an hour before someone showed up with another lady's order, and didn't acknowledge the people all standing there waiting just for him? If you offer an online order- collection service it should be as smooth as shopping in store. The whole reason of shopping online is convenience.
    The other gentleman asked the security where the people are because he's been waiting 20mins to receive his order, even after being helped, and she was clueless. Shouldn't she be trained to at least tell the customers what's going on or telling them in a friendly way that the people are busy or at least know what to say instead of 'uuuhhmm'. And maybe greet the customers when they walk in saying there's a bit of a waiting period because they are so busy, then they know what they're in for.
    And the warehouse for collection looks absolutely terrible. No wonder the staff take so long to find the orders, there's no system or organization.
    I cannot understand why there is only one gentleman working at the online collection counter?

    After sales service is poor. They were happy sell me a fridge but now after three weeks trying to get them to repair a faulty product is a major hassle. You hold on for a long period then you get cut off. Poor service 😈

    Spacious and offers lots of goods at affordable prices. One issue I had was inconsistent staff , they allow certain shoppers to pay at the pay points situated close to the electronics while other customers were turned away. Customers had consumables but were still allowed to pay at the electronics pay point. Others were told they can't pay for consumables at those pay points.

    Almost everything you need in one place, mostly in bulk and relatuvely good value. But very busy over weekends! Try to either go right after opening time or right before closing time. Parking sometimes a problem.

    Not as busy as many of the other stores. Neat and clean. Specials are good but some could be better because some items on special are the same price as normal prices in PnP or Checkers.

    Poor. I only bought one small item from the electronic department. Thinking I could just pay by the tills there. Only to be told I can only buy there with a makro card. So I went to get one. When I came back I got told to go stand in the long queue. After waiting I was at least delighted to be greeted by a friendly staff. But disappointed overall

    The cleanest Makro I've been to. Lots of helpful staff. The collection-department staff can do with a bit of cheering up though. Ample and safe parking.

    Spacious, air conditioned, very neat and clean

    18 MARCH 17 - Calling on Saturday to obtain some advice on Jojo water tanks. Highly irritated by 1)The automated voice messages the loop is FAULTY - you DO NOT know if you are on hold or ringing through to a department as you only here the promotions no ringing phones. 2) THE CALL MUST GO BACK TO RECEPTION AFTER A MINUTE OR SO - YOU CANNOT LET YOUR CUSTOMER HANG ON THE PHONE FOR 4 MINUTES at at time - without the phone diverting back to the switchboard - Poor phone in service!!!!

    Huge store, with a large variety of all sorts of things. If you come here looking for something, chances are you'll find it. At the very least, you'll be given friendly advice about where to find what you're looking for, if they don't stock it. I always enjoy visiting this dealer.

    Very helpful staff clean especially toilets has basically everything you need under one roof caters for pensioners not only monetary but refreshments too. A caring and compassionate experience

    I really enjoy their Saturday specials and tastings in tbe liquor store. Good bargains to be had. Wide aisles and quick checkout. Staff could be more cheerful.
