Letaba River Lodge has a lot to offer. You drive in with a well maintained gravel road. As you get to the gate you can feel the excitement bubbling inside of you.
The first thing you see is a row of large lion enclosures. When I drove in I was lucky enough to see two lions pairing.

The reception was friendly and the room was neat, well furnished and had a great view. The view could be seen from a balcony where I could stand for a long time and listen to the roar of the lions.

The service at the restaurant was friendly, but a little slow. The food was delicious and the plating beautiful.

There is a swimming pool, braai area, wedding and convention facilities.

I went to the lion park in the morning, there I could see a variety of animals. There are (white and brown) lions, (siberian, bengal and white) tigers, caracals, coati and a few other animals.

For R100 extra you can enter some of the enclosures with a ranger. The animals that I interacted with were; 3 month and 1.5 year old lions, adult and baby caracals, coati and one or two others.

All in all it was a great stay, with memorable moments.

Terrible owner very rude no customer relations at all. I had my wedding there and it was raining the rooms were wet. There was no water for me and my wedding crew to shower. The hall where i had my wedding reception had no electricity and water all over. Andre the owner wouldn't even pick up my calls or have anything to say to me. The stuff is great but are overworked and abused. Terrible terrible place to spend the night or have an even there. Only good to see the animals.

This is one of the fewest wonderful places ever. Imagine seeing lions, tigers and cheetahs from a very close range. One can't even imagine it is right here on Limpopo. Few people are aware of this place. I like it and would like to visit it more often. Halalaa a, Lions, Halalaaa

Disgusting exploitation at it's finest. Where are the mothers of these very young cubs that get handled by humans all day long? Why are all these animals being raised at a camp for tourists? Whybecause they are being raised for canned hunts! All of these animals that are being loved on and hand raised by people, all of these animals that seem so well cared for, all of these animals that pose for pictures will wind up on the other side of a rifle and their heads will hang on some trophy hunters wall and their bones shipped to Asia for "medicinal" use. Great way to disguise yourselves as some sort of animal refuge.
