Kids rides are too slow for kids 1.3m and they cant reach 1.5m rides. Need more variety at the kids section. There's nothing new for the kids. Too too expensive for non riders! No special fee for pregnant women. It should be free. Also there is no shade in gold reef city especially the kids area. Very difficult for pregnant ladies at gold reef city. Firstly you charge pregnant women non rider fee and we have to stand around in the sun all day!!! It's really very unsettling! It's should be free for pregnant women!

Absolutely love this place. We decided to visit on one of the busiest weekends of the year . We got there early started with the bigs ride first. Food is good, facilities clean even though it very busy. Rides awesome 👏🏽 This is one of the best outdoor activity places in Johannesburg serving both young to adult. Kids just love it here. Thumbs up to the cleaning staff the toilets are pristine 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Brilliant theme park. Good student discount. Plenty of activities to do. Most might need more than a day to explore completely. Efficient, helpful staff. What more could you ask for?

From the moment I entered the theme park I felt enriched and nostalgic. Well presented walk ways , queue paths have shading which is just so important, the thrills and variety of shops and rides and restrooms throughout the whole park is jaw dropping. Kept to mining theme all round and definitely an experience well worth the penny.

Such a fun day! I would recommend buying the tickets online via computicket. Try get there before opening time to avoid long queues. Buy Family ticket for a better price. Staff was very helpful and friendly. There was some fun entertainment at the gate before entering. All the rides were in working condition. Overall I felt money well spend.

Ah what a place to have a day of fun😍. Went on a Wednesday so the park wasn't as busy as it would be on the weekend but Thursday is the day to go if you really want free reign. Minors Revenge was open for the first time in a while and is honestly worth taking a day off for. Bathrooms left a bit to be desired. Some were clogged and had no toilet paper. The Golden Loop was also closed which was somewhat of a disappointment. In my opinion, you cannot get much more value for the price of a ticket. R190 (can be even lower with rewards members discounts) is nothing for a full day of fun, especially when compared to the 2hrs had at a movie theatre for a similar price these days.

The best way to spend a Saturday with the family.. The rides are fun, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Both the kids and adults. The only criticism I could add is that there is only 1 halaal food outlet in the theme park.

Always enjoy visiting Gold Reef City. Great fun for adults and kids. Fantastic rides on offer and value for money. The entire experience is thoroughly enjoyable. Good variety of eateries and custom theme stores for memorabilia. Well run and well maintained.

When I think of my experience at Gold Reef City only one word comes to mind: Magical. From the rides, staff and the unlimited cotton candy. I can without a doubt say that this was one of the best days of my life.

Gold Reef City has always been a favorite entertainment spot for me. The park has changed over the years, and it has been for the better. There is a fantastic mix of old and new, both in the entertainment factor and in the asthetic of the park. The park really does cater for all ages, and you will not be disappointed by the variety of activities available. All in all, a great way to spend the day out, especially if the weather is good!

It is a relaxed atmosphere with incredible rides. Great for a family outing as there are rides for children, a farmyard with various animals, horses were missing from the stables at the time I visited. There are great restaurants and fast food outlets. A word few advice would be to get their early as soon as the place opens so one can get a chance on all the rides.

The place is a wealth of mining history and has a science exhibition which eye and mind opening.

This place is amazing, I spent my entire day there and I couldn't finish all the rides. The adventures are endless. It has an extensive food court in an area that mimics the old gold mining town. It has an old, life size gold mining rig and a gigantic Ferris wheel. It has big chess board and a farm too. Kids, adults and everyone who wants to have fun would love it. Just set aside a full day to enjoy everything entirely.

Amazing theme park with numerous rides which you cane experience as a group, a couple or even with your kids!! Plus the costs are affordable!
I loved it!!!
Queue were long but very well managed! Be sure to walk around and spot some amazing local dance performances and theatrics!

Best if - IF - you can go while it's quiet. Then it's awesome! Get the whole park to yourself, no waiting for rides, eat when you want. The only thing that bothers me is that the game booth people harass you to play when you've already said no twenty times already.

Awesome place for kids and adults alike! There are fun rides like roller coasters as well as some "interesting" attractions like Mining camp tour, houses of old mining officials.

I loved the place. The rides are spectacular. My favorite part is that you only pay an entrance fee and can go on all the rides the whole day. I really had a good time and would recommend others to go there. There are really awesome rides for both adults and children

My friends and I visited during the week and we flew through the ques. The park is great fun for the whole family. Admission is fair and the snacks aren't too expensive. The rides are truly thrill rides which the adrenaline chasers will love. A must visit.
