Great customer service, amazing commercial sushi, I just hate that you gotta wait sooo long to be seated. They should seriously consider an extension, but overall an amazing experience.

My wife and i had dinner on Christmas eve. The service was great and the food was prepared perfectly. We going back for their Wenesday special on Sushi.😊

John Dory's is always good but the Malvern one is great. Good service but manager, Johan is an absolute star. A little mishap occurred with my takeaway after we had our staff lunch in Dec. When we pointed out this to Johan on a later visit he more than made up for this. DON'T dare miss out on their Wed Sushi special. Simply the best.

Horrible service.
We are big john dorys fans and the one in suncoast and gateway is awesome. We went to this one 2 weeks ago. There were only 4 people eating at the time yet we had to wait 50 minutes for our food. The mussels were cold. Both managers were busy. One was using his phone outside and the other was eating. All the waitress did was apologize once and went away for another 20 min. So long yet they were basically empty. This john dorys is the worst one in durban. The food was also very bad and we are extremely sad. We stay in the area yet we drive to suncoast or gateway for john dorys because the one in malvern is pathetic.response / report this review -

Wednesday half price on selected sushi. Saturday half price sushi platters. Well worth it along with the specials on every week. Tends to be a little quieter than other mainstream restaurants. Good for a family dinner

I had lunch with a friend here on 01/03/17
The place was fresh and cool
Service was on the ball
Sushi was Devine ! Salmon roses
Manager and floor staff constantly checked that we were okay.
This was my third visit and def enjoy this place
