Jaci's Safari lodge is good - comfortable chalets, nice food, quick service and good field guides. Our guide, David, was one of the better field guides - humble and knowledgeable but he did have an accident in the vehicle where both my wife and I were injured and the GM didn't seem to know what to do. The lodge is child friendly so can get noisy so we prefer Jaci's Tree Lodge. Tree Lodge also provides easy access to the new terrapin underground hide.

One of the best safari experiences that we as a family could have wished for. Jaci's Safari lodge is amazing for families (Jaci's Tree Lodge is more for couples and those wanting to avoid kids). The food is seriously good, The staff are absolutely amazing, and the rooms are tented, rather large and well furnished (and very warm in winter). Wildlife in this area of the Madikwe is fantastic. NOTE: the hide and the waterhole is one of the best I have ever visited - it is sunken down to water level and the sightings from here are fantastic.

On arrival we were greeted enthusiastically by Manie and James and shown to our rooms - the rooms are breathtaking and really fit perfectly into the surrounding environment. As soon as we were settled we went to enjoy a sumptuous breakfast on the deck overlooking the lodge. Things continued to get better - spotting 4 of the big 5 on our first game drive was very exciting and made possible by our exceptionally knowledgeable guide Thomas.
We made sure that we experienced everything that Jaci's Tree Lodge has to offer, including spending a night at the hide overlooking a water hole where we witnessed 2 elephants taking a bath in the moonlight!! The food was absolutely delicious and the fact that we enjoyed each meal in a different location added to the whole delightful experience. Solly the chef was on hand and catered to our every need with a friendly smile.
We were really impressed with all the staff at the lodge, nothing was ever too much effort, they truly understand the meaning of service and guest relations.
Overall it was a 5 star experience and we definitely hope to visit again soon!response / report this review
