Great dealership with salesmen that are not too pushy, only reason they lost 2 stars is because they do not inform you about their lack of a service center. After purchase when you are ready for your first service all of a sudden you realise you will need to take the car to Hyundai Pinetown. Really not ideal for a Hillcrest resident.
Fantastic Branch, very Pleasant SalePerson Jared. Go there you will get a good deal
Hyundai Hilcrest, go there at your own risk. They dont care about customers. Mis representation, lying and even if you try to escalate the case, they will fool you. I regret involving myself with this dealership garage.
Who ever is to buy from this garage must do it at his or her own risk. Be prepared for frustrations and delays. I nearly lost mh job due to these people. To move away was difficult becz they had mg deposit already. This garage must be closed or all staff changed. Make me hate Hyundai.
Terrible service. Done a deal for a car and when was time to sign the agreement, they said Hyundai South Africa underpriced the car by 25k. This is not true. They sold the car to someone else. The staff has no ethics and morals. Will never deal with this branch again. Even 1 star is too much. Digraceful.
Shafee Hoosen made the purchase a breeze. Awesome experience.
Very annoying, does not show how to get there properly.
Worst service imaginable, second hand vehicle was sold to me with warped brake discs, raised the issue with hyundai with in a week of purchasing the vehicle on the 4th of December 2017. Still no resolution. I have lodged a complaint with the motor industry ombudsmen.
Pathetic after sales service
Worst customer service ever
Detailed below is a litany of poor service, namely (1) misrepresentation of price (2) late delivery of vehicle (3) missing items (4) delay in couriering the items (5) abysmal communication with a customer and (5) loss of use of car. I recommend no one ever buys a car from such a dishonest incompetent uncaring dealership.
I went to Hyundai Hillcrest on 06 December 2017 to purchase my first car, a 2016 i10 1.1 GLS/Motion. I met Leon and he quoted a price of R116 000 but he had to discuss the sale with the manager. I waited for 4 hours for the manger to return from a meeting. The price then jumped to 125 000 to cover ‘loss of profits’ to the dealership when I did not sign a credit agreement. I was paying cash. The final price was negotiated at R122, 000. This included a non-negotiable charge of R600.00 for a car valet. Also, he would only deliver the car half-way to my workplace in Port St Johns. There was a purposeful misrepresentation of the initial price. However, I agreed as I was coming for afar (I live in Port St Johns, 378Km and a 5-hour drive to Hillcrest) and wanted my car for my holidays. I was very unhappy with the deceit.
Leon stated that once payment was received, he would arrange delivery of the car by the following day. He confirmed on Friday morning 8 December that payment was cleared at the bank. However he said he couldn’t deliver that day or the next as the driver who was to accompany him was to attend a funeral. I had the car collected at Port Edward on Monday 11 December. Items that were missing were a spare key, car mats, documents for registration and licence and log book. He said he would courier the outstanding items within three days. I phoned Leon again on Friday as the items were not delivered. He promised they would be delivered the following week.
As I was going on annual leave on Monday 18 December 2017, I requested that the parcel be delivered to my holiday address in Lusikisiki. I requested that the courier phone me when near Lusikisiki so I could meet them to collect the parcel. It never arrived. Leon did not send any SMS or email me to follow-up the alleged attempt by courier to deliver a parcel.
I arranged a family friend to phone and intercede on my behalf on 27 December 2017. Leon told him the courier attempted to deliver the parcel but got no response when they trying to phone me. However, there were no missed calls or SMSs to my cellphone in the week beginning 18 December. Furthermore, Leon told him that it was not his job to follow up on the courier. He added that his company had a contract with a particular courier and they could not deliver this week. There was nothing he could do. My friend then phoned the manager on duty, Stewart. He promised to investigate. He returned the call in the afternoon and promised the items would be couriered to his residence in town in Port St Johns by Friday afternoon 30 December. It was not delivered
The temporary licence permit expired on 31 December 2017, I am now unable to use the car to continue my holidays. I do not know when I can drive my car again.
We felt like prey instead of valued customers and management gave off the impression that image is worth more than merit. Fortunately for them the Hyundai brand has a lot of value
Decent and warm-welcoming staff
Good service would buy a second hand car from them again, need to recommend Shafee Hoosen, as a good dealer to talk to for used cars
Respectable dealership
Do not carry parts nor servicing????
Great Friendly service
The most terrible car sales experience. Took 4 weeks to get my car to me after taking my deposit. A lot of promises were made and not kept to. This is a dealership so i expected the deal to go smoothly however it felt very underhanded and unprofessional. They made me travel from far out and then tell me the car is not ready and even when it was sold they still did not sort everything that they promised to.After sales service was pathetic as the car had a problem and none of the staff were willing to actually help as within the first 30 days the dealership is to sort any mechanical problems experienced, The sales people and the branch managers do not even answer there phones or respond to emails and they seem to hide from their responsibilities and only want to take your money. This dealership is not even worthy of a 1 star rating but something had to be put to post this review.
On Saturday 17 October 2015 I purchased a 2014 i20 for my son. The Salesperson Ms. Suzanne Van Der Merwe gave me a vehicle in good condition with low mileage, the Sales Manager further discounted the "On the Road Cost" and the Manager Finance negotiated a very good interest rate. All in all, it was a good deal.
