Excellent and a worth visit especially for doctors and surgeons.

The story of Chris Barnard is inspiring which is told and depicted very well in the museum run by the hospital.

The museum tour is excellent.

An incredible experience. Discovering what and how made South Africa and Christiaan Barnard the world leaders in heart transplant surgery. A very informative tour hosted by Trace who's knowledge on the history of transplant surgery was staggering as well as (at times) humorous. I remember seeing the breaking news when I was a child in 1967 but to see the place where it all happened was amazing.

Absolutely incredible, interesting and comprehensive museum. Extensively display of newspaper clippings, photographs, letters, life size mock-ups of scenes in the theatre rooms as well as a film about Chris Barnard's life.

Worthwhile to visit, for all age categories. Various prices for South Africans and foreigners, as well as student and pensioner prices.

Book in advance, if possible and allow for approximately 2 hour's minimum to view everything.
