Overall great experience.
Had a hick-up when I got here for my 1st service but a quick chat to Richard and Jonathan about my initial experience and they were on the ball in giving me a great customer experience. It's good to see managers and supervisors hands on with clients and more importantly for me, was seeing that poor customer service in their service division is not tolerated.

The service department is very efficient. It is always clean and busy here and the call service functions like a machine. The only issue that is often raised is the overprices replacement of parts (almost 1000% overcharged) and the fact that you pay per item when buying a new car. Tgis saddens me as I am a huge Volkswagen fan. I truly believe that they would keep many customers by making their cars all inclusive.

A technician installed rear Q3 brake pads on my B6 passat not too impressive; Electronic parking brake didn't function after that until replacing with proper pads myself. Regardless the customer service before the actual service was not too bad.

Good communication, best service center in Pretoria. i rated them 10 when they follow up on me .i feel like i need to tell the world out there about this guys , i was assisted by Hannes for my Polo 45 km service interval. The guy is professional and honest, good work Hannes and your whole team. When people are doing great work , we need to tell others. i recommend them to every one . I still gonna use them in the future well done guys keep up the good work.

A good VW dealer. I like the fact that you talk directly with the mechanic instead of a 'service consultant'. They also give honest opinions compared to many other dealerships. I have never needed to take a car that was there back.
When my car was still under warranty the gears had a vibration that I picked up. The VW McCarthy Menlyn said that it wasn't a problem. This dealership however suggested that I replace it (for free!) while the warranty was still in place.
They also do followup calls to ensure you are satisfied. And generally just look less dodgy.
However, they are very busy and you have to book about a week in advance. They are still expensive. They also tend to offer you a ton of additional options (break fluid flush, full engine flush etc) which I can figure out if it is part of the normal service schedule).
That being said, I'll still take them above McCarthy any day.
Tip: if you work in the Menlyn area like I do, drop your car off yourself and then take the gautrain bus to Menlyn mall. Much faster than their shuttle!

Their service is impeccable. I'll buy a VW just to get it serviced here. Their service-prices are a bit on the high side, but you get peace of mind as a benefit.
The technitions call to approve anything extra & even suggest ways to save you money (like replacing a globe yourself)

I've heard about the outstanding service from Hatfield VW before, I've heard the radio advertisements but they didn't prepare me for what I was about to experience pulling up to the driveway at 7am of Hatfield service entrance, It was service simply unheard of anywhere in this country, it was honestly something out of this world!
Outside were about 10 mechanics lining up with clipboards waiting for cars to take into the workshop, these guys wrap plastic bags around each car's mirror like hanging a towel over a hook and as soon as you get out of your car they cover your seat before they hop in, My mechanic came up to me, he immediately knew who I was, he introduced himself (Jeremy) and told me that he would be the one working on my car today, he asked me if I had any problems that I would like to make him aware of, he did all the paperwork right there whilst sitting in my car waiting in line to enter the workshop, all the paperwork was done within a minute, the only holdup was me taking up about a minute to fill in the form.
Entering the waiting area, I was surprised with a warm cappuccino while waiting for a driver, the driver dropped me right at my front door at around 8am, later that day when my car was done at around 3pm the driver came to pick me up, eventhough I organized my own ride there and I neglected to inform my mechanic, because you have direct contact with your mechanic, nevertheless the driver still came past to see if he could find me.
If anyone doesn't believe my experience, just take a drive past Hatfield VW service entrance at 7am in the morning and you wil see for yourself what I am talking about.
I was truly taken aback by the speed and efficiency!
