One of our favourite stays in our 3 weeks stay, beautiful citrus farm with bed and breakfast. The rooms are more like small houses with a front yard and all you need. The hosts Nita and Mike were very lovely and helpful, they have nice stories and Mike wrote some very funny ones I recommend reading. I hope to go back someday or that they will take up our offer to stay at our place here in EU.
What else, breakfast was great, their sons business nearby is also a nice day activity, they arranged a daily safari to the Addo Elephant Park nearby (a highlight of our trip).

From the moment we arrived we were overwelmed by the picturesque views, the warm hospitality of the hosts, the comfort and elegance of the individually decorated rooms and then the breakfast topped off the whole experience. We have stayed in many venues in Addo park and the surrounding area, but Happy Lands were by far the best experience. We recommend it for longer stays, because there are so much to do in the area.

HAPPY DAYS @ HAPPY LANDS!
Spent 4 nights here between Thursday 27 & Sunday 30 April and from the moment we arrived to the time we left we had a fabulous time. Our host were hospitable, caring, helpful & willing to make a plan if necessary. Its the perfect place if you have young children with the big rolling manicured lawns, rose bushes & greenery galore, enclosed swimming pool, jungle gym area with sand pit, buckets, spades, forks & push bikes. The dogs are friendly and gentle with the children & Nita has a box full of toys for the toddlers which have accumulated having a couple of grand children of her own.
The weather was lovely so before and after our daily travels in & around Addo the children frolicked in the big sprinklers, swam, played hide & seek in the orchards & large grounds and even had lemon fights with the fruit that had fallen from the trees.
For those looking for some quiet time there was plenty space to disappear in and around the farm where one could soak up the sounds of nature or enjoy a fresh morning sun rise.
The breakfasts are not massive but include fresh fruit salad, home made bread & jams, bacon & eggs and a different muffin, pancake or savoury each morning. Lovely to eat on the stoep where one can clearly see the young ones playing at the jungle gym..
Our room Star Ruby was tastefully decorated with large modern shower basin combo. The heated towel railed proved a winner in drying the children towels & costumes over night. The kitchenette which is next too the bed is small & not ideal for preparing large meals from scratch but is more than adequate for heating prepared meals or making small ones. Area is more for couples than families so i advice if you come with a troop have meals pre-made for time there & ask for more crockery if necessary.
Mike was more than willing to add another mattress for my daughters best friend and the extra charge was minimal.
For what we paid for 2 children of 8, 2 adults & a toddler it was a bargain if I look at the foto's of the memories created whilst there. Thank you Mike, Nita and staff for more than exceeding our expectations.

We stayed at Happy Lands over the long weekend, and all I can say is WOW!!! Best 5 days I have spent in a LONG TIME .
We had 3 children with us and they had the best time, ran around the ample gardens, played among the trees, swam in the pool, ran through the sprinklers.
Every evening they were so tired from playing that they just passed out. It was great to have peace of mind that our children could play and run and we didnt have to shadow them everywhere.
The hosts Mike and Nita are AMAZING !! Wonderful people who are warm and welcoming. Go out of their way to ensure that they guests are happy.
I would recommend this place to ANYONE who loves the outdoors , looks for elegant comfortable accommodation and that wants to be able to have peace of mind when it comes to their children.response / report this review -

The place is amazing and so are the host. We had an excellent time and we had the honor of being first couple using their safari rides. Totally recommended.

Accommodation was great, stayed here before and each stay is just as great as the last. Huge gardens to wonder, swimming facilities and breakfast served out in the garden. Hosts are very friendly and pricing is affordable.
