This is the worst hotel I have ever come across in the heart of the Beach Front. It smells, the rooms are old fashion. no bar fridge, dirty windows. To do your ironing is a nightmare, it is like you are being sent to the shop and back. Found one ironing station the 7th floor dirty and could not not adjust the iron but in all that, the stuff could not see anything wrong. I will never recommend this to anyone. It should be downgraded to a minus 5 star. If I had a choice, I would have left right away that same night and tell them to keep the money and do renovations with it. all I can say about this Beach Hotel sies!!!! This will be a long weekend of April 2018 I have ever had. if you come here, please do yourself a favor; never bring young kids and come drunk just to sleep and wake up and go.

Hated the place. It smells awful from the foyer right through the entire place. The basement is dirty and smells worse than the inside of the hotel. Air-conditioning is noisy and building is run down and need serious upgrading. Windows were dirty could not even appreciate the view. Room service was delayed and noise levels are disturbing. Corridor lights were not even working. Would not recommend it at all.

First time staying over here.Perfect location to everything.Walking distance to Ushaka Marine World and Moses Mabida Stadium!Amazing nice staff,They really went the extra mile to make my stay comfy.Spacious rooms,buffet breakfast with cool chefs!Thank you to management and staff!You guys are the best.

Beach Hotel is a home away from home, 8 years concecutive staying over there. Staff are so friendly and professional. I will always book with this hotel.Thanks u for a real hospitality just add small refrigerators in rooms.

In really, really bad shape, needs a serious make over and maintenance. No TV remote in my room, a dead cockroach in my room. The dust is really bad, everything has rust on it. My shower head does not work. The coffee station is not even close to a plug, I need to move the kettle every time I want to make coffee. The taps does not close properly and the windows needs a serious wash. There is one positive thing, the staff are extremely helpful and very friendly.

Convenient for going to the beach which is across the street. They have good breakfast and the rooms are not so bad, they do not have enough parking for guests some guests have to park across the street.

Gooderson Beach Hotel fits in perfectly with all the other run-down buildings in Durban South. Reception was a bit slow and we had minor snags with parking but once it was all sorted, it became quite the experience. However, that mouldy smell at reception is quite bothersome and should be addressed immediately. Maintenance should also look into the issue with the showers not working properly. Overall, we had a pretty relaxing stay. And that beach view. Simply gorgeous.

It could be ok, depending on what you are comfortable with. The guests seemed comfortable. The side streets appear to be scetchy. If its any consolation, police are frequently in the area. Frequent loitering of non-hotel guests around the outside of the hotel.
