My daughter is a border and she is so happy at Charlton house,she packs her things way early to go back to school every sunday. Love the principal mr links my second daughter will attend at goodhope seminary girls high.

I was a boarder at this school in about 1955! It was then a high school for girls only, and very strict indeed. I was expelled from there during my third term, for something I hadn't done, but no-one would listen to me. The school principal, whose name was Tilly Tyfield, needed a scapegoat. She was a real piece of work, was Tilly. So I remember the school with a sense of horror. I was always frightened there, living in fear of everyone and everything. I hope the school is a million times better now, and that the pupils are much happier than we were in that place 60 years ago.
