  Charmaine is a true Master of Reiki. Being a first timer of energy healing she guided me gently through a series of meditations, each one of which miraculously enabled me to source the energy required to apply the healing process. As she moved through the chakras the energy tangibly moved with her. Her debrief after the session was detailed, succinct and insightful revealing her natural intuition. I left every session feeling at peace and with a sense of wellness which I had not experienced for many years. I highly recommend this therapy and the Master who works wonders at My Urban Retreat.

  I have had both contact and distant sessions with Charmaine and both have been incredibly powerful in unearthing long-buried issues and feelings in my soul quite rapidly. As a result, the energy healing has been an integral part of my healing journey and has in fact enhanced my own intuition and I believe soul growth. Charmaine also provides intuitive guidance which has been insightful, and while at times my ego did not always want to hear these messages, in retrospect it was what I needed to hear and was spot on! The detoxing process after each session was both physical and emotional, with a lot of pain coming to the surface for release. With distant healing I would recommend the longer sessions if you are able to take them up, especially in the comfort of your home.

  I have been a client for 6 years and each time I am left feeling as if my soul has had a true reckoning with light and love which then allows me to access my inner light and power- no matter the circumstance I am in Charmaine intuits exactly the feelings and challenges I am embroiled in at the time with no knowledge from me- her phenomenal intuition and direct line to source as a healer is unlike anything I have experienced. She has allowed me to access so much inner power that may have never surfaced. I have had the pleasure of 3 distance healings which are equal or more powerful in their affects at connecting to my highest self- despite distance. The last distance healing was uncanny in that during the meditation I was able to have clear visions which I wrote down at the end of the session - when I received my recording to listen to what Charmaine felt and her visions matched most of mine - from a shared sense of a family issue the day prior; seeing flashes of blue and a clear vision we both had of a river and golden stars.
  She is magical, compassionate and she allows me to feel healed and discover how to heal myself.
  A gifted master and beautiful soul who has integrity above all else.

  I have been going to My Urban Retreat for 10 years now, I can highly recommend Charmaine as the best Reiki Teacher around. She is so lovely, professional, and insightful and really makes you feel at ease. She offers accurate spiritual guidance with her Reiki healing. I always take the healing packages, if I have gone through a difficult patch in life with many life adjustments. Modern life and the daily demands that seem never-ending can take its toll on the mind, body and soul. The package I use, allows me to go on a little retreat which I like spread over 3 weeks. Charmaine creates a safe and gentle space, allowing you to drift into a deep relaxing trance like state which feels like pure bliss. You can feel the energy pour into you, each time I go to Charmaine the energy connection feels even stronger. I have also done distant Reiki with Charmaine when she is not in Cape Town, and it’s just as powerful. I definitely recommend Charmaine, especially if you are in need of space clearing, restoration, re-alignment, energy replenishment, mindfulness and to connect with yourself again. Pure energy work that is so powerful and grounding and that’s exactly what we all need from time to time in this day and life.
