Very serene and beautiful hotel with friendly attendants and comfortable rooms. I enjoyed everything offered from food to drinks and water. It's a cool place for a getaway.

The isolation from the general public that the venue offers is both a blessing & a curse; the roads leading to the venue are very dodgy and not suitable for very low cars. I'd advise against driving to or from the venue at night time.
The dam/ river running parallel with the venue looks as if it's been used as a toxin dump. From far a beautiful scenery, close up you'll see the truth.
The staff are extremely friendly, but lacked the actual skill of responding & attending to guests' queries and requests. My special request was never acknowledged.
The buffet meal incl. In every stay over was nothing more than average.
I'd rate this place is good for a one night stay and no more.
WiFi was not available in the rooms nor any general information regarding the venue and the amenities of the room.
Quite disappointed actually as they are supposed to be 3 Star.

What a fantastic little spot. Such relaxing settings and friendly staff. I would happily go there again in a flash. It's the perfect spot for a quick weekend get-away.

We were here for a year-end function.

Food is ok, service is ok (waiter).

Would not recommend for a getaway, but is perfectly nice for work functions.

Beautifully built in a great location on the banks of Roodeplaat dam. Easy to get to with a short gravel road just before the gate of a couple of hundred metres.

Security is good. Check in was relatively quick and efficient.

In general the layout is very appealing, lots of green spaces and well kept gardens. Swimming pool and jacuzzi also available.

There is a bar and restaurant. Service at the bar and resturant are slow. The food is an average affair. This is one aspect that could be greatly improved.

There are a number of conference rooms and breakaway rooms, so this could be a good venue for such events.

The room was very nicely put together. Nice bathroom. The bed was rather soft unfortunately. The tv was not clear and awkwardly positioned, so not great for those wanting to watch tv.

There was a mosquito net above the bed. This is a very necessary accessory as there are a lot of mosquitos. The rooms could do with mosquito deterrent and a can of insect spray.

Service in general was friendly. But the food was disappointing. The breakfast and dinner were lack lustre. There is a fair amount of parking but I expect that this will not be sufficient for peak periods, especially if there weddings and functions on.

Lovely old hotel revamped to new brand. They have improved alot and are taking the hotel to new levels. Great for conference get away outdoor feel style. Beaitiful relaxed environmemt and gardens. Lots of parking, many rooms. Swimming pool area, dam views.

I cannot agree with any of these other reviews. We spent the weekend there while our kids were at regattas for the second but now last time and the service was very friendly but completely pathetic. Dinner on both nights consisted of steak that had been cooked to leather consistency and wors. Not being big meat eaters we requested an alternative of chicken or fish, the fish arrived 55 mins later after 2 confirmations with the kitchen that we actually would really like to order it. Rooms did not have towels and 3 calls to reception and eventually a personal visit over an hour later to explain to the person there what "we are sending them down now" actually means. Nice venue but needs to up their game.
