Quaint, rustic resort by the countryside. The rooms had a gorgeous view of the mountains. At sunrise, its breathtaking. And the kitchen can whip up something spectacular. Here i tasted probably the best roast chicken I have had in my entire life. This resort doesnt get a five star because the amenities in the room are still quite old school. Charging my phone was a chore. Visit with adapters!

Drakensberg sun is a peaceful and scenic holiday destination just to relax. We had a great time spent with the family. We also enjoyed a game of golf at another golf estate not far from the drakensberg sun. We took drives to nearby bakeries. We also enjoyed long walks and a slash in the pool. Fantastic holiday.

Lovely layout and facilities. Beautiful mountain view but in my opinion not the best view in Central Drakensberg. Chalets well equipped, good service and very well spaced out. Really peaceful and serene.

Legacy hotel organisation. Well maintained. Good place to use as base to go hiking in the berg. Relaxed atmosphere. Expansive grounds. Have visited many times and find occupancy of the beautiful timeshare units to be rare.

Stunning area and very comfortable resort. We went on hikes arranged by the resort and also did some of our own activities. Guides are knowledgeable and friendly. Facilities are very good. We did self-catering but there is a restaurant for those that prefer that.

Set in central drakensberg, this Hotel has much to offer!! The staff were friendly and helpful!! The view from the room is breathtaking!! The hotel inside makes You feel like You are in a Swiss mountain lodge. You can lounge around the heated pool or go on a boat ride on the lake!! The food was of high quality!! Lots to do around the area as well!! If you stay at the hotel you get 20% off the canopy tour which is situated right next door!! Only issue was that the wifi didn't work very well!! But will surely come back to this beautiful hotel!

Excellent service staff. We recently went to this resort. Although they do not have facilities for disabled people, Robert went above and beyond to accommodate a family member who needed wheelchair facilities. They brought her meals to her room. The staff at the restaurant were great to customize our meals.

Warm welcome , friendly staff , nice clean rooms , beautiful picturesque setting. Ample entertainment provided. Food is simply amazing both breakfast and dinner nice variety and very tasty. My only problem was that the shower cubicle is a bit small. Other then that we will certainly be back here first impressions last.. Well done team keep up the high standard you have set.

I visited the resort with my two kids and I must say that three days at this resort and the town is just not enough. The resort offer enough activities that the whole family will not get bored. From check in to check out, we had amazing experiences and the staff there is amazing and very well informed about the resort and activities outside the resort. The service is amazing. The weather is very unpredictable there, but there's always something one can do. The view of the mountain is also amazing. The resort has guided hikes in the mornings but one can go for the hike anytime of the day. Remember to draw up an itinerary of all the place to visit around the resort like The Four Rivers for quad biking, zip lining and river rafting, the Reptile place, Chocolate memories, The Bakery Valley and more. I will be visiting this resort annually.

The reason I specifically choose this hotel is because it has many activities all within the hotel premises, so I do not have to drive out, and living in Gauteng, one does get tired of driving more than is necessary.

Activities include hiking - the Blue Grotto trail is highly recommended, horse riding, rowing, fishing and a boat cruise on the lake.

The buffet dinner is just amazing with a Hugh selection of main dishes and desserts to satisfy any taste.

I find this to be the ideal getaway from the rat race and the scenic beauty of the area does wonders for my mood.

A beautiful and family friendly resort. The hotel is situated on the top of a hill, with a large sloping hillside that leads to a fishing and boating lake. The hillside has a pool, playground, fields, and pathways to enjoy. The lake has rowing boats and canoes you can take out onto the lake.

The views are amazing, with the Drakensberg mountains gracing the entire resort. The kids really enjoying playing the large scale 'chutes and ladders' game on the grounds of the resort.
