  Dis-Chem really should not display items that are out of stock, or even worse - items that suppliers no longer supply as "available" on their website. I made an order and the items were not available because the supplier no longer supplies the item. I was disappointed.
  
  The Cavendish store itself is not bad and offers a decent range of goods, but can get a little overcrowded on weekends.

  "Dischem: Pharmacists who DONT care"
  To write a one star review you have to be pretty emotional. I challenge the store manager to bring a toddler to the store (anticipating that like most other dischems, this store would also have a trolley service which fits a child!) shop for a months' worth of family supplies and then have to Schlepp all the way back to transport - and not be in a spin. Along the way, I asked for assistance but none was offered as I had to leave the trolley full of purchased goods at the door.
  
  My brief exchange with the actual pharmacist was really poor, with them having little to no knowledge about the product I had questions on.
  
  I called and spoke to the assistant manager, left my details and gave them time to reach out, to no avail.
  
  The Dischem in Seapoint is worth the drive. And unless you plan on buying a single toothbrush, give this store a miss.

  My doctor emailed a prescription to Dischem Claremont and when I went to check up on it, the assistant (who was obviously very reluctant to even look it up on the computer to start with), told me it wasn't there. When I queried it, she told me that Dischem receive hundreds of emails and couldn't possibly be expected to process them all. OK - I realise she might not have understood the procedure and that I could have let pass, we're all human after all, but her attitude was so hostile - it as if I was being unreasonable by even expecting the emailed prescription to have been received and processed. Granted there was a general air of bad temper and snappiness around the dispensary given that it was really busy and there were long delays in being served and customers were unhappy, but this did not make for a very pleasant experience, and I think I might rather pay the extra for the round-the-corner pharmacist who knows who you are and takes the time to check up on your query - and be pleasant about it to boot. I came away from my visit to Dischem feeling quite put out that the cheerful mood I had entered the shop with had been turned to one of disconsolate grumpiness simply through poor (and reluctant) customer service. Maybe more training needed Dischem?
