Well organised wine festival. Estate made a plan for shade when appointed organisers messed up. Parking good. Great wines.

Good view and staff was friendly and helpful. Can be a bit more daring with their beers.

Some of the best craft and wine pairings in the Cape. Couple that with live music and you have a recipe for perfection

I'll edit the review once I've tried the restaurant but the beer tasting was good. Go on a Tuesday for a tasting special. You have got to try the berry lime wine cooler they have. It is absolutely phenomenal. Parking is a bit scarce but a sedan or hatchback will be able to make the trip there and back. Only a small section and parking lot is gravel. Love the hill would like to take a trip to the top sometime provided it isn't 39°C again 😂. Apparently quite full on Saturdays but Sundays are more relaxed. Go on Tuesday though

5 stars for when I was here the previous 2 times. There were about 3 guys who were watering and attending to everyone and they were brilliant. This time I havent even seen a waiter or waitress so I don't know who has been attending to anyone. I've been here 20 minutes, there are two tables and the cleaning lady inside keeps assuring me that someone will come and take my order. This is disgusting how the service has dismally decreased in only 4 months. Please get your previous staff members back and pay them double because they know what they are doing and they did a great job. I will never recommend Signal gun to anyone if this is the service I get.

RESTAURANT (NOT WINE TASTING): 2 stars

Pro's: Great place for lunch outside on a nice spring/summer day, with pretty views of the wine lands. Pizza, wine and service was also not bad.

Con's: Not a great atmosphere inside for a dinner at all - avoid going if you are there for the romantic scene. Place seriously needs a decorator and some TLC! Bit overpriced and run down.

    WINE TASTING: 4 stars

Great atmosphere for a beer of wine tasting, sitting on a bean bag looking over the winelands! Delicious craft beers and wine.

    SHOCKINGLY POOR SERVICE!
We waited an hour and half (patiently and politely) for our food after which we had to go and find our waitress. She then had a disgusting attitude about it! She gave us dirty looks and continued to do so BLATANTLY and immaturely while we ate our meal and when we left! Shameful! We where a quiet table of four who waited patiently whilst this waitress did not even introduce herself when we arrived. She forgot orders and the best part, after waiting an hour and half, and then waiting a further 15 minutes, the food comes and it is incorrect. She doesn't even apologize - NO HOSPITALITY whilst blatantly treating us as if we had the irrational audacity to ask what was going on! APPALLING! And the food is overpriced for the quality. R169 for a steak that is no where near as good as Hussar. Never going back here again.

Today, we were on the wine route. Desided to stop at signal gun. Only to find most of the tafels reserved and it was not that busy. So the lady behind the counter seated us at the bath and gave us a list to choose from. So we desided wat to have. But waited half and hour to be serves. With the waiters and the elderly lady seeing us. But just ignoring us. I am very disapointed. I realy looked forward to the beee tasting. Only to find myself leaving becoz serves sucked. Come on guys you can do better.

We had a late Sunday lunch and was EXTREMELY disappointed. HORRIBLE SERVICE, DIRTY BATHROOMS & FLIES everywhere. Can only imagine what the kitchen must look like. Then I read through the reviews, as I wanted to find out if we just had an off day. BUT no, most of the reviews are exactly what we have experienced. Cannot see a future for this established. Been in this industry for almost 20 years. I also think all the positive reviews are from staff members who worked at Signal Gun. Won't go there again.

The beer tasting is a must!! The beers are very good here and the tasting board is well priced. Pair this with a pizza and you can't go wrong.

Terrible service at the wine tasting. No one came to help us. Waiter asked us to find a spot if we can. Had to ask to be helped 3 times. Never had a chance to do the wine tasting. After being ignored for 30minutes we left. Very disappointing.

Always been a lovely experience. Great food. Great service with a amazing view. Kid friendly and their ocean smoke wine is fantastic on a warm day.
