A very close friend had a very bad experience on Tuesday 18th October - Her Pug dog was in an accident where his eye popped out so need emergency treatment, she called the vet who said it would cost R350 to resolve the injury but when she got there they wanted R1600 upfront before they handled the dog, she said she didn't have the money and was told to phone the SPCA, but the SPCA do not have an after hours service so at the end of the day and to cut the long story short - this lady friend who does not have a lot of money at all and was forced to take her dog top the SPCA the following due to the vet not helping or interested in helping due to the money issue - the dogs eye was removed as a result of leaving it over night. The question is where is the animal ethics in this vet or is it all about money. - Very disgusted
