Cute hole in the wall coffee shop. They try very hard to be trendy while serving halaal friendly dishes. Steak mushroom and salad dish well presented but very over-priced. Altogether not a bad experience.
.we happened to be staying at our time-share at the Atlantic Seaboard Flats so it was easy just to walk here and enjoy a gourmet sandwich or burger with a cup of Caturra coffee! Must say the coffee was good and the gourmet burger, the beef-strip sandwich could have had a bit more meat on it but never-the-less it was a good experience and a new learning curve for us as we have never been here before for any kind of dinning experience!..
My favourite place in sea point and surely in Cape town, breakfast, lunch, all is so good with a good atmosphere and warm, thank you for all, I will come back !!
Signed the Mocha girl ☀️
Very nice place. Had a good breakfast. Halaal.
Food is amazing. Tastes great. Lovely atmosphere. Perfect for that day out. They are fully halal
Lovely little halaal breakfast place.
Their menus are written on chalkboards on the walls and the place is decorated beautifully with trinkets and treasures all over.
They have a small display of pastries such as almond and choolcolate croissants and cronuts.
They are a little on the pricey side for locals, but have delicious food and serve big portions fast. The staff was very friendly and even cut herbs from their own little pots to make our food- how amazing!
This is not an ideal place for large groups as it is definitely on the small side, but that is exactly what gives this place its character.
New(ish) owner really turned it around. Disregard previous bad reviews. The food is great.
Coffee could use some work but the food is good and filling
Quick easy with a nice vibe. Food is well prepared too.
First time visiting Cattura Coffee Bar. We had to look for a waiter to seat us then to top it all off we waited 45mins to 1 hour for our food. Our caramel lattes we ordered came to our table luke warm. Drinks came way before we received our food. We asked our waiter how long it would still be to get our food & had asked the chef who is apparently also the owner & the chef shouted at him saying & I quote "why are you asking me again". If this is the way you treat your staff. Then I don't know. I ordered a Sandton which consisted of rocket(received chives instead), avo a poached egg which I requested to be runny & came out hard, feta & sourdough toast. My food was warm . My husband ordered the corn cakes which was undercooked & received chives instead of rocket. My sister ordered a salmon & zucchini omelette. The omelette was overcooked with bits & bobs of cream cheese & NO zucchini. The waiter asked me how was our food & I told him that I only ate this because I was starving but the food was disappointing & the service was disgusting, i had asked him to please tell the chef. He then proceeded to ask me to tell the chef myself because he can't. .seems to me that the waiters feared the owner. Absolutely disgusting & dissapointed service & food from a first time customer. Will definitely not be coming here again nor will I recommend anyone to this place.
These guys just blast the music every morning. But only before they open cause the music would be too loud for customers. Really hate them with a passion now cause it's been on and off for 6 months. No respect for the people in the community around them. Wish the owner would step in and take responsibility but can never get hold of them. My next step will have to be calling the police because this is just ridiculous. Can't image what the food/service is like if the owner can't even be bothered to keep the staff professional.
