  Does what it says on the tin so can't complain too much But I was particularly disappointed that they don't do baked potatoes, only chips or boiled. This, for me, is a deal breaker in terms of any repeat business.

  We were told that the special buffet lunch is good but found it not on standard for a top restaurant. The only meat was one curry beef and a goulash/stew. This is not acceptable for a buffet as most customers are aware that meals like that are done with left over meat of previous days.
  
  The fish as starter was excellent and the calamari hard and dry.

  There are many restaurants in Hermanus, but if you are a meat-person than this is definately the place to go. Great food (especially steaks in all sorts) and good staff. I would go back to this place

  It no longer exists. There is a Cattle Baron Bistro & Grill though. On Harbour Square in Hermanus. www.cattlebaronhermanus.co.za
