Waitresses super-friendly, caring and efficient. Food best in town. Each very tasty detail taken care of. Ambience quirky and entertaining. Coffee to die for.
Neighbourhood haunt👋🏻 Distinctive interior experience and beautiful Mountain View. Tasty menu for group and solo outings. Parking can be a little daunting. Gorgeous park across the way. Love paging through the ample collection of decor mags ‘on tap’.
Consistently good in all respects. Its popularity is well deserved. Love the resident cats.
One of the best breakfast places in Cape Town. A warm and cosy feel, with an outdoor area that is even great in rainy and cold weather.
There is always enough seating and very good service.
The hangover breakfast and the grench toast breakfasts are delicious!
The milkshakes and coffee selections are also fantastic!
The staff are very friendly and good at what they do. There are also a few friendly cats that hang around the place and sometimes sit on your lap :)
I like the restaurant and the food is good, but as much as I a supporter of water saving: I have to call you out on your denial of tap water.
1. It's illegal.
"free drinking water, which includes tap water, must be made freely available at all consumption and liquor outlets to all patrons"
Department of Trade and Industry National liquor Norms and Standards of 2015
2. You say on your little flyer explaining the situation that it is not just the drinking water that you are trying to save, but also the water for washing the glass. That kind of makes sense. So I ordered a bottle of water with the idea to drink out of it to try and save water. But how was it presented: with a glass filled with ice! I didn't use the glass but I am assuming you still need to wash it!
So don't BS us into thinking you care for saving 330ml of water, you are just abusing the dire water situation to get extra revenue.
Fantastic little neighborhood gem. Great coffee, service, decor and atmosphere.First time there, but I will definitely be back!
Nice place show casing the old days. Nice food
If u like coffee shops then this one should be on your list! Great vibe, and super Tasty!
Cafeen is amazing. Coffee is pretty good, food is amazing, the staff are very friendly. The restaurant is very cosy with all kinds of stuff that collages across all the walls. The problem with Cafeen is that it sets the bar so high, that all other places I try are disappointing. But well done to them for creating an exceptionally fantastic experience.
Every time I'm in Cape Town I always have to go to Cafeen for breakfast. Views of the mountain, lovely service and great food. A must try.
A pretty setting across the road from a park in Hatfield Village. Views of Table Mountain. A busy restaurant so if you in a hurry for a quick breakfast this is not the place. They take a while to get food out - as least an hour when they are busy. The menu is pretty extensive and you can also make your own which is great. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Outside seating is lovely for warm days. Inside seating is cosy and quaint with collections of eclectic items. Great ambiance for the romantic.
Good daytime restaurant. Great 50s/shabby chic decor. Delicious meals. Fab views of Hampstead Park with Devils Peak as the backdrop. Perfect place to meet friends or work on your laptop.
Great food, love the simple and relaxed atmosphere. Love having the cats around. Definitely a great quiet place for coffee and a good meal. I've never been disappointed
Had a lovely breakfast on the verandah. Really nice spot with the best lemon meringue in Cape Town!
Great food. Good service. Lovely venue
Great place. Food is pretty good.
Gets very busy.
Our coffee's were diabolical, but the Barista arrived late on a busy day, so this shouldn't normally be a problem.
View is lovely, coffee is good but service is GLACIAL paced. I'm fairly sure my retirement annuity is ready to pay out now as I've sat here for several decades while waiting for breakfast. Safest thing to do would be to sit at the restaurant and use OrderIn to request the deliver the meal to your table. Will keep watch to see if management and staff change, then I'll go back.
A local favourite. Quirky, homely, vintage interiors give unique character to this welcoming brunch and lunch spot. An extensive, delicious menu from eggs benedict to beautiful salads and wraps with plenty of fresh baked goods, from quiche to cheesecake. Jugs of fruit crush are a refreshing tip for summer. Popular with locals, get there early or book at weekends.
