Very unfriendly staff, not helpful at all.

You will need a pencil to fill out some paper, it is better you bring your own because inside is just 2 or 3 and the most of the time it is used by other people.

Not a terrible border post at all - the service from South Africa is prompt; the place isn't terribly busy (depending on when you get there) and we've had a few people being refused entry into Swaziland out of the many occasions we've used this post, so someone is at least doing their job when things are amiss (don't read anything nefarious into that, please :)).
