We had some car trouble and ended up checking in at 3am. The staff and owners were absolutely fantastic! They went completely out of their way to help us. Cottage was large enough for my big family, and a good standard, decent breakfast and tranquil surroundings.

Spent one night at Biggy Best. Rooms are modern, clean sheets and fresh towels. However, no toilet paper, my guess is because there’s no toilet roll holder! As was point out by a previous reviewer. (Need to get this right Biggy Best team)
Meals were good, but a very limited selection of beverages including wines.
Cell phone signal not the best, perhaps that’s my service provider, although I could get Wi-Fi wasn’t able to connect.not sure!

I wanted to give it a 4 star but there are some basics lacking. The rooms was nice and modern but lacking some basics like a toilet roll holder a soap holder in the shower. Also they really need to install extractor fans. Service at the restaurant needs a lot of attention.

The customer service is Awesome ! The accomadation is so pleasant and clean. Fresh air, crisp bedding and towels ! I stayed with my family in The Coachouse.

Stayed at Biggy Best Cottages in Howick 23rd Dec to 26th Dec 2016 whilst in Howick for a friends wedding.

Accommodation was booked a week earlier, when Samantha confirmed the booking no mention was made if there was a specific check in time for the 23rd of Dec. Upon arrival at 11:30am on the day our group, which consisted of 2 couples and friends (3 rooms) that our rooms would only be ready at 2pm!

Considering we had left Joburg at 5am, traveled on a traffic laden highway, having to while up the hours whilst waiting for our rooms to be prepared was totally unacceptable.

The general cleanliness of the Breakfast area was also a let down, coming down for breakfast with Windolene spray bottles on the table, plates from other residents not cleared timeously. Breakfast waiting time was also slow. Suggestion would be hire more staff for such a busy holiday period.

On a positive note the staff (Cindy, Zama & Marco The Manager) were friendly and professional when dealing with our requests. Marco was friendly, made conversation and addressed all our concerns and complaints timeously.

The let downs aside would definitely give Biggy Best Cottages another try if ever in Howick.
