I stumbled across Arlington B&B one night after missing a bus to Johannesburg and exhaustedly seeking last-minute refuge. Arlington turned out to be so much more. It was a paradise! Entering the gate from the hustle and bustle of city streets I felt as though I'd entered a cool, refreshing spa. The main house is old-fashioned with a beautiful kitchen and hard-wood floors. There is a pool just off the dining/living room and a wonderful covered outdoor sitting area between the main house and other guest rooms. The rooms themselves are also luxurious and comforting. And at such a good price!

The best part of all at Arlington however was our host. Arriving off-season we were greeted not by the owner but her cousin who does book-keeping. Her name is Juana and she is SUCH an incredible joy! She was wonderfully friendly and with a refreshingly open mind and social awareness. If you stay at Arlington only to meet Juana you will be getting your money's worth. I count myself lucky to have even met her for one day.
