We went there on our way to Durban and were totally positively surprised! You get information for a self-guided tour about the birds so we walked around and watched all the different kinds and read about them and why they are here. Then we saw the bird show, which was soo exciting and interesting! I am not a big fan of animals in cages so i was a bit sceptic first, but most of the animals were injured or other things happend to them so they cannot be released anymore. But if they can they reintroduce them into the wild. And the rest is in breeding programs to save their kind.
I never did pay much attention to birds but now i definitely will;) Thanks for that great time! I would definitely go there again!

Great team of people. Just ordinary people doing extra ordinary things for special birds. Keep on keeping on. You doing it for the next generation. May your service to the birds be blessed

Fabulous place! The flight show is mesmerizing. But it's about so much more. It's about saving these gorgeous birds.

What a wonderful place to learn about nature! They have a great show where they fly the birds and educate you. Most of the birds there have been rescued. You also learn about the breeding programs they have for endangered species.

Good facilities, well kept, the animals seem healthy and well looked after. A very affordable enjoyable, educational trip, just outside pmb. Wonderful show by Shannon, it was just us on a Saturday morning so we had a good chance to ask questions and see the birds up close. If the weather is windy or rainy I'd reschedule; the birds don't like to fly in that weather & it's dangerous for them. The owlery is amazing- tiny scops owls to massive fish eagles and a very suspicious grass owl. The vultures and secretary bird are lovely to see too. We fed the bunnies and guinea pigs, R7 for a lovely bucket of carrots and spinach. The Kestrel Cafe serves simple good home-style food (toasted sandwiches and chips) for very fair prices (R20-30/person)

Fantastic place where they have excellent display of trained big birds like Eagle, Owl etc. These birds fly & sit as if remote controlled, the site also have endangered vulture preservative centre.

This is a good place to visit if you are interested in birds. There is a show that tells people how and what the diffrent birds eat and show people how birds fly.
