Lovely family outing . Braai areas trail walks, cycles , you can see buck and zebras. Just so awesome
We completed the 5 km wlk. Excellent. Saw buck and lots of flora.
It's a beautiful reserve with lots of wildlife. But needs more kid friendly attractions.
Beautiful pristine natural Savannah and coastal forest. Excellent bird watching opportunities, and top notch Braai facilities.
Top picnic spot is the best rest spot.
A lovely quiet piece of nature in a built up area. The facilities are also well maintained. A good place for a stroll in the wild or a relaxing picnic. Take insect repellant.
Very Nice setting. Good for a day trip.
Great place. Nature at its best. Great braai facilities.
I love going to thus park for walks. They have zebra and several types of antelope. The big loop is 5km
Paying regular visits to have a braai or potjie whilst zebra stroll through the braai area every now and then..
Much later after having our meal we burn down the extra calories enjoying one of the many lovely walking trails set out in the reserve.
Safe, clean and well maintained escape to nature right in the city. Excellent trails for walking and cycling. Lots of birds and animals such as buck and zebra. Entry fee keeps the crowds away and atrracts true nature lovers. Pet friendly.
A nice and untapped reserve but a bit dangerous because of nearby gypsy settlements
Quick escape from from the hustle and bustle of city life if you are missing mother nature and need some tranquility
Well maintained. Grass manicured, braai areas presentable. Ablutions clean and stocked. Super friendly security guard. Saw zebra and buck.
Amazing place for picnics, hikes and the chance to see beautiful flora and fauna up close and personal without being confined to a car. Staff are friendly. The whole experience ends up feeling like you're on a holiday in some natural far away place when in fact on some of the trails you can easily see Durban, its harbour and the surrounding areas.
The only complaint I have is that the site map is faded and difficult to read (with some locations even being wrongly recorded on the map) and not all trails in the field are properly marked.
A well maintained nature reserve. Several well marked walking and cycling trails available. A unique feature of this reserve is a tour of the original Stainbank family castle (by appointment only). Very good picnic spots, scenic views and a variety of wildlife grace this reserve. Highly recommended.
