Absolutely beautiful place. Such wonderful views of elephant who are so calm and placid. Accommodation is really lovely. Totally disabled friendly. Has a walk in shower with a shower seat.

We took our little girl and we all loved every minute. We used our family wild card and drove in every day at 7 am. We stayed outside the park in a lovely guest house as all the accommodation was already booked up. We saw literally hundreds of elephants. 3 lion's, of which one was literally 1m away. We went early December to best all the crowds.

Amazing park to visit. Lots of animals. Ablution facilities kept clean. Tent sites very small and definately not for trailer tents ++. Only for smaller tents. Appreciated the assistance with the pitching of the tent very much. Staff generally friendly and keen to assist.

Very bushy monotonous vegetation with rich fauna and flora. Infrastructure could be better, like picnic places and toilets on the poorly marked game routes. Very nice educative info centre and horrible dark outsourced chain restaurant. Curio shop lovely. Accommodation in the park is varied and nice just always fully booked.

Love love love! Addo is great for anyone whose into nature and animals. I went on a sunny afternoon and saw tons of elephants, pumbas, zebras, a Buffalo, and many more. Their rest stop is adequate for everyone with reasonable priced snacks, souvenirs and postcards along with clean bathroom and a restaurant. I was recommend to visit this place during my trip to South Africa instead of Kruger because it’s easier to see animals on any given day and it’s way less expensive.

We drove from the Indian Ocean side of the park to the main caravan park and really enjoyed it. The array of mammals and birds was outstanding. Various watering holes gave us ample photographic opportunities and the main caravan park was quiet enough considering it was the end of school holidays in July of 2016.
Kudu males fighting, Secretary birds hunting snakes, Jackals, Elephants, buffalo and warthogs. This place offers so much to see and do.

What a special place - the Elephants, Buffalo, and Lions are magnificent. Accommodation is clean, and comfortable. Staff are very friendly. Great food. If you're visiting the area, this is a must

Yes it's nature but we spent the first 1.5 hours in the park without seeing anything except some turtles on the street. After we found the elephants it was a great experience. The park is very big and they have just 15 lions in the park. To see wildlife lions is lottery. Great to see but nothing to do again.
The night in the camp was due to insects okay but also nothing to do again. We would prefer the garden route game lodge instead of Addo.

Large park needs at least a full day to drive round it, we only managed a couple of hours late in our holiday. Self drive and guided safaris available, as well as overnight camps. Close encounters and lovely photos with large numbers of elephants warthogs tortoises and zebra seen in a brief circuit. Other road users and park visitors less considerate than our experiences at other sites and little enforcement of the rules apparent! Overall highly recommended but allow sufficient time to explore and enjoy. Modest entrance / conservation fee to be paid. The area to the west of the park is socially deprived and subject to car- jacking apparently so plan accordingly (fuel food toilets etc!)

Wildlife in a managed ecosystem. More than elephants to be seen. Nice campsite, clean facilities, small park shop with basic food, souvenirs, clothing items and restaurant. Game/night drives and horseback riding on offer. Information center, fuel station and lit-up watering hole at main rest camp. En-suite self-catering chalets.

This place is about game drives and foreign tourists. It's nicer to visit Johannesburg. The camp sites are horrible. SA Railway's only active line runs through the camp, day and night. Ablutions are filthy and unpractical. Disappointing, will never return. Will rather watch elephants on TV. Siss man SANPARKS.

Great place to visit, beautiful animals. Not that many, though! We spent around 5 hours driving around, and we didn't see much besides the elephants. But that only was an amazing experience, worth a day visit!

Addo Elephant National Park is an amazing place and I will treasure my memories there forever. Being so close to elephants was a dream come true for me -- in a place where I know they are protected and not being exploited. I love supporting South Africa's national parks, as the elephants are free to roam and BE elephants without being exploited in any way. Nestled in the small town of Addo but close enough to Port Elizabeth, this park boasts beautiful rolling hills and sunsets that are breathtaking. The elephants are used to seeing cars go by, so they will walk by your car in the most relaxed and casual manner. However, respect them, drive slowly, and don't make noise or be disruptive to them at all. Simply enjoy the beautiful view and being close to these majestic gentle giants. :) I went 5 times and will return again one day. Check out the map outside the reception area. This will show you where the rangers have spotted the various animals that day and it shows you which animal was spotted in which location of the park. The staff is very nice and friendly. Try the Africanos restaurant in Addo about 10 minutes from the park - they have AMAZING food and excellent staff.
