After years of hassels with our slate roof we decided to remove the slate entirely and replace it with cement tiles. A huge job you would think but 5 Star Roofing came to our rescue and in 2 weeks took off the entire roof and relaid it with Double Roman tiles. Quick and efficient and we are super pleased with the result. A brand new roof that looks great. If you have roof hassels and are considering a roof replacement then contact Stephan at 5 Star and let them do it. A great job!

We contacted 5 Star after our a previous contractor made a royal mess of the roof on our newly extended living area. Stephan was extremely helpful and patient, despite the many delays from our side. He was onsite immediately after we gave him the go ahead, and completed the work in 2 days. His was professional and the workmanship excellent. I would definitely recommend 5 Star Roofing.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, I, DR. C. HURBANS AND MY SPOUSE DR R SOOKHAYI WILL ELABORATE ON THIS TIMEOUSLY. THEY SHOULD NOT EVEN CALL THEMSELVES ROOF SPECIALISTS, THIS IS OUR OPINION AS MEDICAL SPECIALISTS Mr. Stephan, in response, you run a roofing specialist company-true? A roof specialist came to my residence and assessed the roof for leaks and apparently found the fault, a quote of just over R10000 was issued for the repairs which was duly paid. After about two weeks Hermann came to the home to repair said leaks and faults, showing me pictures of the roof and stating that it is in excellent condition. He arrived at 09h50 and left at 12h13. The very few days thereafter we had a slight downpour and to my astonishment the roof was leaking even more than before. I HAVE NEVER SEEN OR SPOKEN TO YOU, SO I CALLED HERMANN (THE PERSON THAT " FIXED" THE ROOF, SHOWING HIM PICTURES OF THE ROOF LEAK, HE ARRIVED AT THE RESIDENCE ( FOR THE THIRD TIME ) AND CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE ENTIRE ROOF TILES NEED REMOVAL AND A NEW SISILALATION BE INSTALLED AT A QUOTE OF R 87175.80 AND THAT HE COULD NOT DO ANYTHING OTHERWISE !!!. He insisted that the underlay was the problem and was apparently old, I DID NOT AGREE WITH THIS COS IT DOES NOT TAKE A ROCKET SCIENTIST TO FIGURE OUT THAT THE ROOF TILES WOULD BE THE FIRST LAYER OF PROTECTION AND THE UNDERLAY A SECOND LAYER IN CASE OF A LEAK FROM THE TILES. He also told me that the company could NOT offer me any guarantee for his work done as some work was done on the roof previously and he would only give me the afore-mentioned if he did the entire roof. I have this entire " conversation" on media which will be posted below. THE ASTONISHING PART IS THAT INSTEAD OF AT LEAST BENDING DOWN AND FEELING UNDER THE FLASHING , HERMANN WOULD HAVE REALISED THAT THE FLASHING HAD FLATTENED ALLOWING WATER TO FREELY FLOW RIGHT UNDER THE ROOF TILES AND BETWEEN THE UNDERLAY, THUS THE SEVERE LEAK, INSTEAD HE WAS QUITE HAPPY STANDING ON THE ROOF TO TAKE PICS WITH HIS PHONE TO GET THE AREA METERAGE IN ORDER TO QUOTE ME !!! This problem has been fixed for a mere R1750 and there is not a drop off water coming through.WHAT IRKS ME IS THAT WHEN I SENT THE COMPLAINT TO HERMANN INFORMING HIM OF THE ACTUAL PROBLEM AND IT'S RESOLUTION, I IMMEDIATELY GET AN EMAIL FROM YOUR COMPANY WITH A LETTER OF GUARANTEE ??- TO WHICH HERMANN SAID WAS NOT POSSIBLE EARLIER?? THIS LEADS ME TO THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THE COMPANY IS ONLY INTERESTED IN REPLACING GOOD ROOFS AND PROFITING FROM CONSUMERS THAT DO NOT EVEN UNDERSTAND THE INTRICICIES OF ROOF'S, ETC, WHICH COULD READ AS MONEY-CENTRIC ND FRAUDULENT BEHAVIOUR - DISAGREE OR NOT
PLEASE NOTE FROM YOUR RESPONSE TO ME THAT I DO NOT AND HAVE NOT DEALT WITH YOU AT ALL, I DID CALL HERMANN THE " MAN IN CHARGE " IMMEDIATELY WHEN THE ROOF WAS STILL LEAKING- THIS WAS ON THE 16TH OF MARCH 2018- TO WHICH HE INFORMED ME THAT HE WILL GET BACK TO THE OFFICE ON MONDAY AND SORT OUT A NEW QUOTE FOR ME FOR FURTHER "REPAIRS", WHICH NEVER CAME TO FRUITION UNTIL I SENT HIM THE MESSAGE YESTERDAY 27 MARCH 2018 !!!
MR. STEPHAN, AS THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY I FEEL THAT YOU SHOULD PLAY A MORE ACTIVE ROLE AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE SENDING PEOPLE OUT TO EXAMINE ROOF'S WHO ARE PROFESSIONALLY QUALIFIED , NOT PEOPLE THAT JUST WANT TO REPLACE STUFF THAT NEEDS NOT TO BE REPLACED AT EXORBITANT COSTS TO PEOPLE WHO WORK HARD FOR THEIR MONEY AND TRUST THE " ROOFING SPECIALISTS " THEY CALL. AS WELL AS COMMUNICATION WITH YOUR EMPLOYEES AS TO REPEAT FAULTS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED AS THERE WAS NO MENTION OF YOU AT ANY STAGE IN THIS SITUATION, EVERYTHING WAS " HANDLED, ASSESSED, ADVICE AND QUOTATION FOR APPROX. R90000.00 BY HERMANN WITH NO MENTION OF YOU, SO DO NOT ASK ME WHY I POST A GOOGLE REVIEW WITHOUT INFORMING YOU , NEITHER WAS I ADVISED TO CONTACT YOU!! . THE MATTER IS BEING TAKEN UP LEGALLY AS MENTIONED TO HERMANN AS I HAD GIVEN HIM UNTIL TODAY TO REFUND THE FUNDS PAID IN VAIN TO YOUR COMPANY.
HE INSISTED THAT HE CANNOT GUARANTEE UNTIL HE DOES THE ENTIRE ROOF FOR R87175.90 !!!!response / report this review -

Worst aftersales service ever, dont waste your hard earned money, only make empty promises, they use inferior materials & after spending R20000.00 with them, my roof is still leaking

They did a great job replacing our old leaking roof with a new IBR one. The work was done fast and neat, and they even did more than we expected by painting some walls without charging extra! They left the site clean and neat. I will recommend them to everyone.

Terrible aftersales service.
5 years guarantee on work but refusal to come back when leaks occurred 2 years after work was done.
Been waiting 4 months for them to email a quote for the work to be touched up. Call them every second day but no luck.response / report this review
